We/I and DD have a neighbor, who I refer to on SI as "NL" for Neighbor Lady...anyway, Neighbor Lady has a habit or coping mechanism where she names cheaters and they all go into what she calls a club.

Perv got a name from her right away and one reason I think she's clever is that she doesn't use swears...for the outloud names.

Well, one day he was looking at my phone-way back months ago when the dating sites were discovered but not the A. He saw the name from a text from her on my phone and got really, really mad!

She and I laughed for three weeks whenever we saw each other at the school bus stop because the nickname is "Happy Pants." His anxt is, and I quote,: "Do you know what that denotes?!!!!"

I told him, "Sure we do! What do you think you've been doing out there all this while?"

He left that day in the fall, stomping as usual but sputtering and even more red faced than his rosatia usually is.

It's one of the happier cars on the roller coaster I am riding.

So this time I'll ask, do any of you have little "funnies" like that, coming at the expense of a WS?

If this isn't an okay thing to ask, I would be fine with that, too.

To sum up, NL calls her XH "Starshine", in honor of the completely idiotic decisions that he's still making three years later.

He lives in town and its funny because more and more people call him that than his name.

And Perv/Happy Pants compares himself to the guy saying, "I'm not like that." The fog is very thick.

I will apologize if this is hurtful to any WS on SI, it wasn't meant to be, it's just a coping mechanism.

I'm pretty worried and wonder if it should deleted or will be ok?

I'd say you're probably ok, since I've seen tons of threads in my time on SI with things like this :) I personally find Happy Pants hilarious... And starshine is pretty funny too Sometimes the only way to copoe with the trauma of infidelity and divorce is to make a joke at some of the more ridiculous aspects

I originally joined SI as a way to help my best friends find ways of coping with infidelity, but now infidelity has touched my family much closer to home.

I called my H "Edgar" for Vincent D'Nofrio's character in Men In Black. The alien bug guy - because H's body was taken over by an alien. I changed H's picture in my phone to a picture of the movie character. My kids figured it out and started calling "dad" "Edgar" too.

One day last summer, DS10 was playing with H's new phone and called mine, which was right beside him. DS10 picked mine up to stop the ring, H saw the picture and said "What in the world?". I grabbed the phone and we just said that he hit a wrong button. We laughed about it for a few days!

Whatever helps you cope during those times...

Starshine made me chuckle. Humor is a great way of coping with the shit in your life, I want a neighbor like yours.

I don't use very creative names. In my head it's usually just a combination of curse-words and a random description of his level of intelligence.

Humor is always appreciated! Happy Pants cracks me up!

Now that I think about it, I can't remember making up any names for my ex. I did call his OW Trixie the Wunderslut, though. She was a stripper. He hated it!! But later, after she got him arrested, thrown in jail for the weekend, and on probation for a while - well, he started calling her Trixie, too.

Divorced - recovered and hoping to help.

Oh, Hooray.

I'm really oversensitive right now, I'm told, so I worried I would make a WS annoyed-maybe I should have put a different acronym or something in the title?

NL (Neighbor Lady) has the most fantastic bitch boots too and I just don't know how she does it. She said she can't afford to care any longer or be worried about what people think.

She came the day Happy Pants left and helped me through the wee hours last year, before we even knew about OW.

She was the one who found him on Zoosk and Match.com, and the only one who told me to my face what he was really doing. Other people knew-my family members except my father-but no one had the guts to tell me but her. (She also found her BF there, too!)

So another funny part is that the BF actually FB'd Happy Pants/Perv to see if he wanted to double date!!!

They made this whole drama with Happy Pants/Perv and made so many wrong rumors that one of them was me on the dating sites!

Ironically, his reaction was one of my first glimpses of how thick his fog really is. How in the world could he be offended? Doesn't he know where he's been? I'm not meaning to rant and sorry if it sounds like it.

I think NL could probably nickname anyone who cheated, it's kind of a hobby of hers.

She was pretty amazing because of her level of acceptance and how quickly it came. She gave Starshine another try and he blew it.

Only a week or so after DDay, she handed Starshine his "stuff" that was left in the house and it hadn't even occurred to him to move out!

This story fascinates me also, because Starshine's OW's ExH lives with OWs parents. I finally got up the courage to ask NL what OW did that was so awful her parents took in the husband...well, NL said the OW slept with her EXHs brother.

NL said it was about a year before she finally stopped caring or asking Starshine what was so great about OW, especially after learning that. Now she doesn't want him to know anything about her and now their kids make fun of him and call him that too, with half the town here where they both grew up.

Starshine is a long time alcoholic and related to the local police, so its really sad to see what he gets away with.

Thank you for the replies. I tried to think of something fun to write about besides all the whining!

I also have curse words for Perv/Happy Pants and I love the story about Edgar. I am a Will Smith fan and think that's a hysterical reference.

Thank you for the Lols, I needed them today.

P.S. I also like the Trixie idea and other posts, thank you.

OW I call Fatty B for her size and the "b" word, for Perv (short for Disgusting Pervert). He was sure to let me know that she is... quite far from petite.

And it was a big day for me when I could make fun of what he's done, I think/hope maybe its a little detatchment?

Some of the less curse infused names include:
*the king* (NPD much)
*the horse whisperer* (long story)
*Captain Wonderpants*
and my personal favorite:
*Douche-dick*

Laughter is a good medicine. I still believe there are truly remorseful WS's that own their stuff and can stand and fight for their family and make R work. I will not disrespect them with inappropriate humor. However, when faced with multiple opportunities to R, this MF chose to go further downhill, to depths I cannot yet admit out loud.

And it was a big day for me when I could make fun of what he's done, I think/hope maybe its a little detachment?

So, to me, ^^^this is what it's all about!!

Anytime I hear or think *Happy Pants* I will be laughing with you

Ashland, it's good to see you able to laugh!

I don't use very creative names. In my head it's usually just a combination of curse-words and a random description of his level of intelligence.

You may not think it's creative, House, but it can likely be recognized as accurate by those in the know!

I have one friend who is very prim and proper and also very religious. I am usually more careful with my language around her, so don't call him the xpos around her. I also don't like using his name. Part of that is because her XWH has the same name, so it can get confusing. We had almost the same timeline, so we saw each other often and leaned in each other a lot for many months.

Almost every time we part she says that she is praying for me every day and I thank her. One time she said that and added that she was praying for [xpos] also every day. I smiled and asked if she remembered the Ayatollah of Iran. She said that of course she did. So I asked if she remembered what happened when one church here announced that they would be holding prayer sessions for him. They felt it wrong that the whole world seemed to be against him and he needed someone to intercede on his behalf. She didn't remember that part. I told her that soon after that, he died, so please keep praying for [xpos]! I wasn't sure how that would go over, but she laughed very loud.

Now, every once in a while, I tell her that she needs to pray harder because the Ayatollah is still alive!! It gives us a good laugh. So, with that one person, that's his name.

XWH is Daffy or, if I'm good and angry, it's Daffy Dick. It's an acronym for donkey ass-fucker fucktard, but it stands alone nicely.

I'm very, very proud of that nickname.
