I thought I would be H last first kiss. I still can't get over all the hurts and he things I thought were just ours and now they're gone.

Just having a rough day. I so wish I could wake up and this past 5 years would just be a bad dream.

Sorry Flatlined!!! There is nothing anyone can say or do to change that. I feel the same way. I too wish I was the last person my W would ever have been with. I am trying to work on acceptance. Some days are better than others. Chin up you are doing great and truly deserve happiness.

I've hit acceptance. IC says that just because you accept something doesn't mean that it can't make you sad anymore.

I just am having a crappy few days. We have my sister's anniversary party this weekend and its been bothering me. 40 years...at least there is one couple who managed to stay faithful to one another.

(((flatlined)))

Yeah, it bothers me that my fWH has continued to have new partners after marriage; I'm still at 2 for my lifetime! But then again, that's likely one factor that made it easier for him to cheat--he did not tie sex and love together.

No slam on your sister, of course, but just because a couple has been together for 40 years does not mean there has been no infidelity. Lots of couples have been through this and stayed together; many are better than ever afterwards.

That's what we are all going for, right? My H and I make a very loving couple; sure does not mean no cheating has occurred!!
