I'm so sorry. How did you find out? I will be keeping you in my prayers... or good thoughts depending on what you prefer.

Try the website www.hystersisters.com. I had a uterine biopsy a few weeks ago and found the site when I was concerned about the possibility of having a hysterectomy. It looks informative and supportive. I hope it helps you.

From what I've learned, uterine cancer is one of the easier things to cure and a vaginal hysterectomy will reduce both discomfort and downtime.

Any questions, write a list and take with you to the Dr. Take someone with you for appts to write down what is said. it is easy when you are stressed to be overwhelmed and not get everything the first time it is said.

Hystersisters is good support, but much of the info is outdated.

Sending prayers for a complete healing.

I had a partial hysterectomy (uterus only) vaginally. But not for cancer.

Obviously I can't compare to other methods, but after one kind of hard day post-surgery I felt great. There was some bruising down there, but that was about it.

Feel free to PM me any specific questions you have. It has had no negative impact on any facet of my life.

Good luck, a Vag Hyst is not a big deal, I had it and was begging to go back to work in 2 weeks. Spent one night in the hospital, and the best part, I never had to deal with the crazy constant bleeding that led up to it.
