It's here! Today is the day my sister's adoption is finalized, and we officially welcome two beautiful, fierce, crazy smart, adventuresome boys to our family.
It's been two years since my sister decided that she wanted her life to be "more" than it was, and set out on a path to be a foster parent. She wanted to make a safe place in the world for kids who had none. She set out to foster and left open the possibility that she would consider adoption, although that was not her primary goal.
And then these two brothers entered her world. Two brothers who had seen and experienced too much in their lives at the tender ages of 10 and 8.
And an amazing thing happened. A family was born. The boys blossomed, thriving on stability, consistency, and unconditional love. And my sister blossomed as well, and over time she went from parenting them to being their mom.
Today that family becomes official, and my heart is overflowing. So much love.
You can call me NIK

a dear friend of mine just finalized the adoption of her son after being his foster mom for 2 years. She is single and always wanted more kids (she had one before) It has been wonderful for them both. Congratulations on your official status as their aunt! Congratulations to your whole family!

Oh that fills my heart with joy. There are so many little ones that see to much and never get the love that a child needs.
I am so happy for your sister and her new son's. MY HEART SCREAMS FOR JOY!
Bless the new family.
