Ahhhh. No ringing phone. No toddler needing me during the 15 minutes I took to fire off emails. No cubemates needing to talk about their cousin from the East Coast who is "like, so crazy if she thinks she's wearing the same dress as me to the wedding. Puh-LEEZ!" No Design Assurance Engineers complaining the conference room I picked for our meeting is 50 feet in the wrong direction for them to walk.

Just quiet, and me clicking away on my laptop. Gitting 'er done.

Ermahgahd - what ARE you wearing to the wedding?!

I love working late too - just me and my stuff. I get so much done!

My boss is an uber micro-manager. It's really gross. She'll send an email and literally RUN out to ask if you've seen it yet (like in 7 seconds, prolly not).

Design Assurance Engineers?

Interesting term. Are they really engineers? For I am assured that most designs are designs whether or not they are quality, working designs which is something totally different.

Ah a tip for the phone. Find a disconnected number and forward it to that number.

I wonder if you forward the number to your number if it becomes lost in a vortex of perpetual forwarding.

Too many people from California here complaining...I think there is a direct flight from Dulles back just about hourly.

You're all fired.

Or fie-yahd or however you pronounce it.

OMG, total t/j but last night I had to present at a board meeting at work. Another woman was presenting too (for another program) and it was obvious she is originally from Boston. All I'm saying is that I didn't feel self conscious about my Brooklyn accent after she spoke.

And in defense of my tiny state. That's the Boston area accent. Not all of us talk like that. Western MA can pronounce our r's

I have to admit, I was surprised at your non-regional diction when we first talked, sd.
