Soooooo, last year xWH and OW got married on 05/12/2012. Mother's day weekend and thereby ensuring he would never have IrishLad with him for future Anniversaries cause that weekend is mine. They scheduled it the same day as our oldest daughter's baby shower after her invitations were sent. His best friend since 4th grade refused to attend and they fought on the phone that day. His best friend died the next morning on Mother's Day. Anticipating that this weekend would be difficult with the 1 year anniversary of best friends death, I was in contact with family to be available. Then we all got hit broadside. My former father-in-law, xWH's step father died on Mother's Day. As far as I know no one has called xWH. No one wants to deal with OWifetress and they immediately turn it into drama about me. What kind of karma is this?

That is WEIRD. The whole thing, anniversary, Mother's Day anniversary, does not bode well. That is pretty BAD all around. You can call it karma or ... God kicking his ass.

I really don't know but at least 4 people in our family have already asked me if their joining has brought some type of curse on us all.

Oh IrishLass I'm so very sorry - that's awful. My condolences to your family.

I think you just have to focus on supporting the family members you are close to and just disregard xWH and OW. But, yes, it is a very crazy and tragic coincidence.

Thank you Persevere, that is what I am focused on. Being there for the rest of the family. Just very spooky circumstances and questions.
