We have not faught about things like that what we did the other night in months. It is always about the past shit.

Rehashing past hurts/resentments is definitely a relationship killer. Sometimes I think moving on is better than being stuck.

POS and I really never fought about anything, which was good. Unfortunately, we never talked about any problems in any way. That meant everything was swept under the rug. The kids NEVER heard us fight, ever, in all the years we were together. Yet the rugsweeping was just as lethal to our relationship as it meant resentment just kept building over the years (for me). For him, he felt that it was simply okay to ignore the past mistakes, pretend it didn't happen, and move on (to new mistakes). Either extreme is unhealthy in a relationship.
