I may have a lunch date next weekend.

Been looking at PoF just for giggles at the wacky local crowd that never changes, and decided to widen the net to the big city next door....

Retired six footer in amazing shape (he's a swimmer), willing to take the ferry over to meet for lunch.

Been flapping about for a couple of hours and finally pressed 'send'.

What the heck, it'll get me out of the house and to one of my favourite restos for the afternoon.

Well he seems to have the process down correctly. Wants to talk on the phone first to see if we have anything in common other than an allergy to cohabitation.

Going to call him after dinner. Will report back.

I'm not going to call it 'dating'. I'm going to call it 'learning to talk to menz again.'

The logistics are too complicated. We both bowed out as neither of us wants long distance.

Smart choice. It was a moment of madness. Now if he decides to retire a littler further west....

Glad to be of service.

I'm kind of relieved. Not QUITE ready to actually follow through yet.

Soon though...

Wow!
This is great! Not only the fact that you considered a date (bravery) but knowing when it is not going to work out (wisdom)!!!

You are in such a good place.
Be proud!

Hey you got ON the pool deck to dip your toe in the water of the dating pool.

More than I am going to do.
