My MIL passed away almost 2 weeks ago. My H has to return to his hometown this weekend to get his mother's ashes as well as handle somethings for the estate. I am unable to go with do to a work issue and am starting to have a bit of a panic attack from triggers because his hometown is were the past As have occurred.

I am trying not to add to his stress, but I don't know if I'm going to make it thru the weekend. I am so worried with the way his has been feeling lately and everything going on that he might do something stupid.

How to I express this to him without causing him to go off the deep end?

I just want to send hugs and to remind you that your needs are important even during his grief. He brought these fears to light and he needs to do whatever it takes to help you through if he wants to keep his M. Is there any way to have the estate issues dealt with through fax? The ashes can wait. Perhaps the estate issues can wait until you can go with him? And, sweetie, try not to get caught up in him going off the deep end. This is his mess to clean up and you shouldn't have to tiptoe around him just because he's standing too close to the deep end, kwim?
