I found out today that I'm pregnant. I had a weird feeling and decided to buy a test. Then I went back out and bought MORE, just to make sure. The lines on the tests are faint, but they are definitely there.

I'm kind of freaking out. Excited. But scared. Just rambling at this point but I need to get these feelings out.

We're in the final stretch of wedding preparation - t minus 5 days until the wedding. We both wanted a family soon after the wedding, and so we stopped being as careful in regards to BC about 2 months ago - we weren't TRYING trying, but really that makes no sense, because if you don't use BC you're trying, right?? We just thought it would take longer to happen. A LOT longer. I had it in my head that I wouldn't be able to have children, or that it would at least be difficult. I never imagined it would happen so soon - and 4 days before our wedding nonetheless. We have family coming into town the day after tomorrow and it's going to be a crazy whirlwind/shitshow. And now he and I will also have this little secret on top of all that.

I don't know how I feel. Scared, but so excited, but then right back to scared. I'm terrified I'm going to lose this baby. I'm so confused about how I can be so excited and scared and overwhelmed and worried about miscarriage all at the same time.

Any words of wisdom would really be appreciated right now. My soon-to-be husband is excited, scared also, but incredibly happy and excited. This is what we wanted. This is what I still want - but the timing is just crazy.

So why am I all over the map right now? Is this normal?

Rest when you can. Nibble all day long - keeping something in your stomach helps keep the nauseousness at bay.

Congratulations on the wedding and the baby.

Yup - that about covered the whole pregnancy thing for me, too. Completely healthy 30 year old female but I was terrified of miscarriage. I also thought it would take a while because I had been on the pill for years prior and it turned out not to be the case.

(in other words, I think we are both normal )

Totally normal, even for people who aren't 5 days from their wedding.

A million congrats.

Congrats on the wedding and the little one.

And, yes, it's normal. You'll be fine.

Awesome!!! You can tell "Baby" later how he/she attended your wedding... Or not.

But you sound perfectly normal to me.

How far along are you?

Being all over emotionally is normal.

Congrats!!!

BTW - I too thought getting pregnant would be an issue, however I took precautions until we were ready to try. I have had unprotected sex 3 times in my life, and I have 2 kids to show for it. So remember this when you get ready for number 2.

Congratulations

Sometimes it happens really quickly- it did with the Mrs- she forgot to get more BC pills in the run up to wedding so ran out while on honeymoon ha- she was like "it's OK but don't do the final bit there" (can you tell I talk around kids a lot?) so anyway I forgot- presenting DD4

So then we had a little baby and she broke her leg- didn't take BC pill because- well- she'd broken her leg and it wasn't too long after giving birth- I'm resourceful- introducing DS3

Had a bit of drama the beginning of this year so won't need BC pill right? WRONG her exact words to me... "holy shit. I'm pregnant." ha

Thank you guys for all your support. I'm feeling more excited today, less crazy. But still just..."HOLY SHIT WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!"

JRC...I think I'm only like 3 weeks along. It's SO early. Anything could happen. I'm not having any symptoms except big boobs - which will be awesome for my wedding dress! Lol.

I just bought a ton of prenatal vitamins. We don't drink and there will be no alcohol at the wedding, so I won't have to fake anything there. And if I feel nauseous, I can blame it on wedding nerves.

It's just crazy to me how quickly this happened. They say no one is every completely ready, but this is just crazy. We're certainly diving right in, aren't we? I'm just trying to breathe and to remember that god has a plan.

My STB husband is already calling is over the moon excited, which is helping me calm down a bit. He is referring to it as "the little nugget." :)

It's going to be so hard to keep this secret this weekend. I have told a select few people, but I have a really hard time lying (even by omission.) My face gives things away!

I'm also terrified now of losing the baby. I know I should be thinking positive thoughts but I worry. :(

Still perfectly normal....

Just become more of a bridezilla ok? Not in a bad way, in a delagate more things out, kinda way.

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water, take your vitamins, snacking all day and eating good meals helps with the constant munchies you will get, and just reeeelaaaax....

Your body know's what it needs to do...so listen to it ok? If you are tired, lay down, if you are wired - take a walk. If you are hungry, snack....

and omg CONGRATS!!!
