This happened to me. Woke up o a lot of clanging. Looked into the kitchen and baby bear was sitting up on his bottom back legs sticking straight out, holding a bagel in his front paws on top of the kitchen counter. Looked down and there was mama standing next to my stove. Her back was up to the burner knobs!!!

They broke in through a 1/2 inch opened crank style window, after conveniently destroying the screen.... after climbing the stairs to a second story deck.

And what, pray tell, did you do after you soiled your jammies?

We were down in the shop last night pulling out some camping gear, and found the cook box opened and broken. Dh and I had that moment of, "those damn kids!...wait..." and realized it was a bear. Broke off a corner of the lid, took a bite out of a jiffy pop, and punctured a damn bottle of OFF! This visit was human error - I remeber leaving the door up one night last week.

We named this guy Cinnamon Bear. He used to come by ever day one summer.

LOL!

Yes, Cinnamon was a big boy. Probably about 400 pounds, I think. He would break into the garage and raid the beer fridge. Ate a whole bag of pot stickers once (didn't sit well in his stomach, the proof was splotted all down the street). He would NOT go into the bear trap, though. I told the wildlife guys they should bait the trap with potstickers and cream cheese instead of donuts, but they didn't listen.

I have a friend that took a picture of a bear in her driveway a couple years ago. It had broken in her garage door and was walking upright on its back legs carrying her 30 gallon garbage can, which was full of pop and beer cans. Just like he was carrying it to the curb for pickup.
