My fwH went for his follow-up STD test yesterday and it was a rough one for him. He never actually saw his doctor the last time but because of the MOW's claim that she has herpes my fwH needed assurance from his doctor. So, he had to relive his A all over again. He told the Dr everything that happened; all the TTing, rugsweeping and ddays. Reliving it made him so depressed and filled with guilt and remorse that it took him a while to come out of it last night. For most of the night he just sat next to me holding my hand and apologizing over and over again. (I'm sure my mini-breakdown on Sunday night attributed to his depression.) I actually think it is good for him to 'relive' it every now and then so that he doesn't get to complacent with how well our R is going.

The good news is that his Dr. is confident that if the MOW has herpes my fwH did not give it to her. He is also confident that my fwH didn't contracted it from her either. My 2nd round of tests came back clear as well so I think we dodged a bullet with that one.

As an aside, my fwH's doctor wants to meet me. He wants to introduce himself to a woman of such "integrity, courage and capacity to love." I'm still trying to figure out who the hell he is talking about!

Phew, good for you guys!

I actually think it is good for him to 'relive' it every now and then so that he doesn't get to complacent with how well our R is going.

I agree, let him feel a bit of the pain he has spread around, it is only fair.

It was very kind of his doc to recognize your efforts.

I hope things continue in a positive direction.
