Hi, I am new here and this is my first post but I needed to read this thread!!

My husband had a one night stand last month with an old friend he had been chatting with online. He couldn't even make it 24 hours without the guilt being too much and telling me. He blocked her Facebook and phone number and told her to leave us alone.

I have not said a word despite her begging me to contact her. As far as she knows he intercepted and I don't know but I am finding that is ok with me. As far as I'm concerned she is trash, she is married, knew he was married with kids AND she threatened to use my own kids to hurt us I hope she feels used and abused and at this point I feel so good in ignoring her like she's nothing. I had struggled with wanting to tell her exactly what I think about her but after reading this I realize my silence is more than enough. :)

Me (BS): 35
Him (fWS): 36
Married 16 years 6 kids ages 15-6

The thing with using texts/emails is there's always a doubt that the other person got it when there's been no response.

This is probably the reason that she sent 40 of them. She probably thought you'd reply to at least one of them.

There's no satisfaction in attacking someone when you don't know for certain if they got your messages. Good for you for not giving her the confirmation she so desperately wanted.

I felt the same way as FWS OW sent me an email that was full of lies. I never reponded

so instead, I posted a letter to her here on SI. I told her exactly what I thought of her and exactly what was true. It did help!

food for thought!

When OW kept texting me tell me I was this and that (so not true). I shut her down by ignoring her. I just went and told her BS.
