UGH Is there anything worse than Facebook snooping on an ex and seeing how much fun they are having ?

To be fair, if you looked at my Facebook over the past few months, you'd think I was having the time of my life. I'm not. My ex is blocked, though, so she wouldn't know either way.

yes! keeping doing it over and over. Just stop and change the channel when you get the desire to check on her.
Train your mind to do it. Look for letting go on Youtube.

hope you find peace in your heart soon
My two cents.

I'd been doing it the last couple of months for some reason, usually at night time in bed, it always made me feel pretty crap.

I deleted my fake Facebook a few weeks ago and haven't looked since despite the desire to be a little nosey.

Delete, block, do whatever. Just try and stay strong. There's nothing stopping me starting another fake account and looking again. I just have to stay focused on not wanting to cause me any more hurt. Besides her falsely happy life isn't that enviable anyway.

I'm having the opposite problem. His page is public, so I looked at it a couple weeks ago after his birthday to see who had wrote to him. After years of having 50+ people wish him a happy birthday, he had 9 people write to him, 6 were family, 1 was a friend out of state who I don't think knows about the affair, and the other 2 were other women. It made me happy so many people shunned him this year. I know, I know, I shouldn't look, but it did make me feel better..

Since he's already cheated on MOW since we separated, I think he's keeping her the dirty little secret that she is and doesn't plan on announcing their relationship publicly..

But whether it's making us feel better or worse, I really think blocking and staying away is the best thing. How are we supposed to have any fun of our own when we keep wasting our time looking at what they are doing? That's what I keep telling myself anyway. Hopefully one day it sinks in..

Just today I unfriended him, his family and mutual friends that were "his". I have one mutual friend that is "mine" who is friends with him and I know she will unfriend him when I ask her. This way I can log into FB without something popping up on my page without me going looking for it. I hope it will help me to not want to snoop. I am thinking about not going on FB at all for a while-I think that may be best.

I've done it. But it was to verify he was actually in a different state then what he told child support. I got my info and haven't looked since.

STBX and OW both blocked me. I'm not interested in what they're doing anyway. Everyone's lives look fantastic on Facebook. So I wouldn't be envious of anything you see on there.

One thing to point out. Don't just unfriendly them, block them.

I so know what you mean! This weekend I had the pleasure of reading my newsfeed and seeing a mutual friend of mine and my ex's gushing about how much fun they had at my ex's and the homewreckers' house the other night.

She said that they are just the "best people" ...yeah right....and that she loved the food, wine and the late night high speed golf cart ride around their land. Barf!

Then she put a cutesy little picture up about how God made short people perfect and whatever other nonsense and tagged the homewrecker in it. Because she and the homewrecker are both short and perfect! How adorable!

Needless to say, my weekend was ruined after reading that. And I now have one less facebook friend!
