I am sitting outside having a smoke trying to calm down.

Since school ended DS (almost 3) has been a holy terror!!! He's been constantly beating up dd (5 on Sunday). He won't listen to anything wh or I tell him, constantly yells No! and whines non stop.

Dd is just one big bag of crying whining "he won't leave me alone"...

Omg!!!

I realize DS is probably upset because his sister is now home 24/7 and he's not getting all of the attention from mommy that he did when dd was in school but come on!!!

Wh picked up a free outside play yard with slide for the kids, we have tons of crafty things for them, take them out for walks, to the park, watch movies. I really don't know what to do with these two. I turn my back to do the dishes and they are at eachothers throat and I'm not joking when I say it can get bloody... It seems all I have done since the end of school is do time outs.

At this point summer school/camps are looking really good

One mom on my fb list posted the same thing...looking forward to the start of school.

Any other parents here about ready to pull their hair out???

Lol. And wh wants a third...

DS always falls asleep before noon...he's out now. If he just slept in a bit longer maybe he wouldn't be so cranky...

If you go to three, you'll have to switch to a zone defense. Just sayin'...

Wait, so having one is actually easier??!?

People keep telling me DD needs a sibling so they can entertain each other. Am I going about this wrong?!?!

If by entertain they mean... Mom he's touching me... Mom he's touching me... Mom he's touching me... Moooooooommmmm He's looking at me.... Mom she's breathing on me... Moooooommmmm

They just want you to suffer what they suffered by having more than one.

Oh they do a great job of entertaining eachother. Unfortunately lately it's been by fighting, biting, slapping, yelling and screaming...ugh!

Usually they can get along just fine.
Well as well as siblings can

If you go to three, you'll have to switch to a zone defense. Just sayin'...

At that point I'll be segregating them
Off to their own rooms...if it happens. Wh has really been pushing for it.

It's raining so we are all stuck inside. Maybe I should just let them go play in the rain...

My DS (the younger of my two) would have been perfectly happy as an only child, but DD (the firstborn)needs an audience....

DragnHeart - can you have both kids "help" you with some light chores? It'll keep them within eyesight and keep their hands busy (hopefully too busy to hit each other). AND they both have Mommy's attention.
YOu can make a game out of it. Who can put the spoons away first? That sort of thing...

Have you seen the "Get Along Shirt"?

Of course, I'm not sure if it's a good idea if they're already drawing blood...

Hang in there, DH.

Yes. I have been trying that. So far we have cleaned the living room three times because DS just starts to throw around his toys as soon as we have them all picked up.

Dishes I would do again but anything todo with water is a no no. DS tried to help with washing...then he soaked dd...I swear I took my eyes off of him for a second!!!

I was going to make cupcakes again today. I have to split the lot so both have a bowl to stir. That might work. Then again DS is just so incredibly defiant I have a feeling he'd finger paint with it.

Actually, fingerpainting while you make cupcakes may not be a bad idea!

Pinterest has some DIY watercolor recipes that are quick and easy...and the ingredients are stuff we normally keep on hand anyway.

Good luck wrangling the kiddos!

I know this doesn't help but it is all normal. My children did this and now my grandchildren do it.
My children finally got along great AFTER they left for college

Oh I think it's totally normal for siblings to fight. I am the oldest of three (two younger brothers) and we did nothing but fight.

We couldn't be closer now though.

I just need to keep the kids from needing stitches...DS likes to bite and both have already shoved the other into the coffee table resulting in bruises...OIY!

Currently they are watching Barney sing along DVD and have settled. I can finally go peeeeee
