I have seen this mentioned twice now. When you look at linkedin, does it record who looks at your site? I wonder, because H was her boss, its her work history, and references, H coworkers are listed as recommendations. I look at it sometimes.....Does all this record? I check sometimes to make sure she hasnt moved back. Its her dream to return to this city. And Her company has an office here also. She can easily transfer.

Yes. It tracks who's looking at your profile. I have never figured out how to turn this off. If I go to linked in, I can see who's viewed and searched for me.

Thats not good. Funny. But not good. My H and I have the same names. SO our emails look the same. With exception of a period. Thats priceless. ANd she is friends with H coworkers still. I guess they all know. But then, I was the one who didnt know.

You can change the settings for how others see when you view their profile, but it will also affect what you can see about those who view yours.

You can do this by going to "Review Privacy & Settings" (hover over your photo at the top right corner when logged in and a drop down should appear), then under "Profile" click on "Select what others see when you've viewed their profile" and choose from there.

You can't see more than you choose to show.

You have to be logged in for it to show up.

It will say something like "so and so looked at your profile".

I busted WS looking at OW's profile last year.

I googled OW and saw that she had a Linkedin page, I went to it and low and behold under "people who looked at this profile also looked at....." were about 6 of WS's contacts!

So if you are signed in to Linkedin and you creep on someone, they will know you did.

Creep wisely my friends.

Creep wisely my friends.

LOL!

I stumbled onto the profile of my husband's ex on linked in under "people you might know." She's not an OW but he DID talk on the phone and text with her some last summer when we were planning to divorce, so I have no love for her. I was so surprised/offended that we had shared contacts (including my beloved former manager) that I clicked on her profile - previously she hadn't worked in "my" industry and now she does. So I'm sure she'll see that I looked. Ugh.

Interestingly, I have two views on my linked in that say:

LinkedIn member
This member chose to be shown as anonymous

I got an offer for a free month of Linked In Premium, so I signed up and those two views still say the same thing. So I guess you CAN be anonymous, but I really don't know how that works. Must be a Linked In Ninja account or something.

Jana, see my post above. It doesn't require anything but changing your settings (any type of account, paid or unpaid).

Oh, sorry! Yes you did answer that.

I bet it was his ex. She creeped me before I had the opportunity to creep her! I had to block her on my H's facebook because she kept "liking" all his pictures of me and commenting on everything he wrote. Fucking weirdo.
