I left her 2 months ago, then moved in with my family, which wasn't working out, so I relocated to my families second home about 3 hours away from them, and been here a week and a half and have been looking for work in my field, I did drink some on my birthday 1 month ago, but other than that sober for 3 months

Sounds like you're living in a third location in 2 months; looking of for a job; giving up drinking; and battling a drug habit.

Give yourself, and your brain chemicals, a chance to adapt to the new normal.

Focus on the job situation, not your ED with your ex-girlfriend.

Not emotionally being there for her at home! A biggie! I just got finished posting on somebody else's thread about that in regards to Christmas and other family holidays....
People check out from being emotionally invested into one another after enough neglect has happened...

2. When is the last time you smoked pot?
Or any other drugs for that matter?

3 months ago , I did drink some on my birthday june 14 th which was the worst mistake I ever made in my life , because I called her a number of times hoping she would say happy birthday... and my goodness did she not say that lol she said something that I wont ever forget in my life, she was cruel, but I guess I asked for it

I'm sorry you were hurt by her words. Stay away from her cruelty, and focus on you and finding a job.

its nice to get replies , even from people I don't know :) kind words and encouragement coming from strangers is a lot more pleasant than coldness and cruelty coming from the woman I was going to marry, and I nearly emailed her today , thank goodness I didn't :)

SVE..yes congrats on sobriety. I agree with a previous poster, work on yourself. Get to know who you are sober. Sometimes a R that isn't healthy is slippery ground for an addict, easy to fall back into old behaviors if you Kwim. Maybe in the future there may be a chance to R but for now, make your self a priority and be the best you can be, FOR YOU. There's a lot of adjusting and getting used to seeing the world thru clear eyes. Be kind to yourself

I was ignoring her and not spending time with her,

So you already did not want her. Is it worse to lose her than to have chased her away?

Is it your pride that is hurt?
