(((big hugs))) and prayers for you and your family right now.

He's hurting but you didn't do it. I hope he gets home soon so you can hug each other.

Please don't blame yourself for your WS's actions. His secrets are not your cross to bear. The truth is always best, and evidently so when he said that things made more sense now. I totally know that feeling, when you find something else out and the pieces fall into place and you're like "oh yeah, that makes sense now"

Marriages that start this way, stepping over the bodies of loved ones as the giddy couple walks down the aisle, are not likely to last.

What peridot says is true. The oxygen treatment can gain amazing results. I know someone who has a tbi and had nearly stopped making progress. They have had the treatment and it has been extremely successful.

Thanks for all the support everyone, and thanks for asking Undefinabl.

I haven't heard from my son, neither has his sisters. He is obviously very hurt and angry at everyone right now.

However, I did find out that he ended up at my brother's house (my brother lives in the same city). They often spend weekends together doing outdoor things. My brother knows about the As and D, and I gave him a heads up that my son knows now. My brother said DS mentioned it, and he (brother) took him on a long, rigorous mountain hike all day Saturday to wear him out and get his mind off it. So at least I know he is in a supportive environment and not off doing something destructive while his head is spinning. My brother has planned another excursion next weekend as well, and I will be there the weekend after that. Since DS mentioned it to his uncle, I am hoping he realizes he does have someone in his inner circle that he can talk to right now if he needs to.

It is going to be a long emotionally draining two weeks until I see him, and I need to give him space between now and then to process the upheaval (unless he calls me and wants to talk). I will also be able to find out more about the TBI when I see him as well.

Knowing my child is hurting and knowing there is nothing I can do about it is killing me...

Something came in the mail today for DS that he was waiting for so I had to intrude on his solitude by texting him to let him know. He responded back. Then he asked when my flight arrives in two weeks. I gave him the info and he responded by offering to pick me up at the airport (I was going to get a rental car) so we could drive out to my brother's house together.

I know he is still in incredible pain, but at least that is a positive step for our own relationship...
