Okay....here goes:

1. Guys that have pictures of themselves holding babies but they do not have children.... ?? what is with that? Are they showing their softer side of Sears?

2. Guys that have no pictures..... um.... Are you camera shy or a swamp moose bridge troll? Either way... NEXT!

3. Guys that say they are my age but look my dad's age..... either you are lying or you partied way too hard in your 20's! (which is entirely possible I suppose)

4. Guys that actually call out women on their size IN their profile! One guy said, "Ladies, don't lie about being fit or petite! I will find out eventually!"

5. Guys who have only one picture and it is of an apparent runway super-underwear model! PULEAZE guys.....YEAH RIGHT!!! (This screams A. Insecurity B. Deception (cause boys...WE will find out eventually) and C. Possible Psycho serial killer) Cause...let's be honest here... If *I* were a runway super-underwear model....I would post WAY more than 1 picture of myself!!!

6. When someone says "I will tell you later" in regards to smoking or having children. If you say that....we know the answer is yes.... and that there is apparently a touchy underlying issue there that we may already not want to take on now! (like chain smoking or dead-beat-daddyness) So.... thank you for helping us weed you out sooner! If you say "I'll tell you later" to occupation and/or wanting more children? We assume the answer is you do not and are unemployed. (Best to be honest if these responses really are genuine and innocent! IMO)

7. And, Just IMO....I refuse to even contact a guy that is "currently separated." Even though....I was one of those people that tried dating while separated I have the good sense now to realize that I was an itiot and should not have been! Please get divorced. That is all.

RANT OVER.

OH and one more thing ....and this has nothing to do with the guys as much as it has to do with Match.com. For some reason.... when I click to look at some profiles, my stupid mouse will "like" one of the pictures on the profile by accident! And, then, it won't let me UNLIKE it if I didn't want to like it!!! OMG!!! There have been a couple of moments where I am frantically trying to unclick a picture like I'm trying to diffuse a bomb only to be left exiting out of the profile in defeat.

Well-played Match.com.... well-played.

Well-played Match.com.... well-played.

They are recreating dating in the wild. Where a few too many drinks has you "clicking like" where no likes should be clicked.

Hypothetically speaking.

I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!

While I think this is super shallow, I kinda feel like people are entitled to their preferences. And honestly I don't want to waste my time contacting someone who prefers people who are not my body type.

That said, I find it amusing/annoying when comments like that are on the profiles of 300+ pound slobs whose only exercise is the walk from their Lazy Boy to the beer fridge.

Keep calm and carry on.

Yes....the double standard is astounding.... or men that won't date women their own age....only women 10+ years younger than them...Um...what?!

Yeah, when those guys would wink or contact me I'd tell them to buzz off because I was too old for them. They'd write back something lame like, "but you seem different". Ugh...

You should have said, "Yeah...I'm different! I'm not your daughter's age!!!"

The ones in their 40s or 50s or more who say "not sure" about wanting more children. AYFKM? either they're crazy (entirely possible) or more likely: they know a "no" will make the one's their daughter's ages uninterested

Your ex wanting to be friends is like asking a kidnapper to stay in touch when they let you go.

The type of fierce loyalty that I possess made me incapable of comprehending the level of disloyalty that he possessed

When I was still OLD, I had a few:

1) Posting pictures that were 5-10 years old. I once met up with someone that I didn't recognize in person AT ALL.

2) Only dating women 15+ years younger because you "have a younger energy." I don't want a 45 year old man that acts 25. That's just pathetic.

3) I post that I'm an atheist and state unequivocally that this is non-negotiable. I would get men who message me (sometimes nicely, most rudely) with conversion emails or calling me names (e.g. immoral). I don't message evangelicals with Richard Dawkin's books!

4) Everyone claims they love going to museums and art shows. If this were true, museums and art shows would look like target on Black Friday. I legitimately do go to both of these, and (when I was OLD) lived in an area with free world class museums. I would often say "Oh, you've lived in x town for 20+ years. When's the last time you went to x museum?" response "Oh, I've never gone to the museums here."

5) Guys who rudely message me, "why did you wink at me? I'm 3 years younger than you!"

6) sexual soliciting.

On okcupid, I saw a profile for a man who said he was in his early 50s...

He also said he wasn't interested in anyone who wasn't in shape/overweight etc., and was looking for someone in her 30s....healthy, in shape, good looking, yadda yadda yadda....

I knew I had seen him somewhere.....after looking at his pictures, I saw one of him in the gym.....my gym! It took me a minute to realize that was where I had seen him.

In person, he is so wrinkly.....I sincerely doubt he's in his 50s..easily 60s.. and I really doubt he'll find a woman in her 30s....but he keeps trying!

what did I ever do to deserve this?

my stupid mouse will "like" one of the pictures on the profile by accident!

This happens to me in another OLD site. If you click on one section of the picture, it takes you to the next picture. However, if you click in the other area, it automatically "likes" it.

I have accidently "liked" a few people too with no way to 'unlike'. I just chalk it up to making someone's day a little brighter. I mean even if I wasn't a match for someone....it would be nice to know they at least liked my pic.

See.....you ARE doing a good service. A random act of kindless

What startles me more then this is the guys who are fifty that state in their profile that they are looking to find someone to 'start' having babies with.

Um.... ::crickets::

I think my favorite was a guy who sent me a message that just said "Hi sexii"

I had a few more gems (a guy with Kim Jong Un's photo sent me a message saying it was a shame I wasn't asian or we could have taken over the world together, then deleted his profile; the guy who offered to pay me because he'd always dreamed about having sex with a white woman; etc.).

I just bumped one of my all time favorite threads about OLD.

The one or two line messages don't bother me too much. I figure they're guys who just don't know how to start a conversation. I had to "coach" my cousin with some OLD. He would send women really lengthy comments, usually talking about how he found them very attractive (respectful - but I could see how a girl would find them creepy). I told him, look keep it brief but ask a question, something that can start a conversation: "I noticed you like 70's rock music. I Just went to see KISS's reunion tour. Have you ever seen them in person?" I also told him to avoid appearance comments initially.
