So, I politely replied that its a good thing I checked online first before leaving and that I am unavailable tomorrow

GOOD RESPONSE!!! SCREW HIM! Sorry...but I'm glad you told him you were unavailable the next day. I wouldn't have given him the reason why either (cause its none of his business) but he needs to know that you are a beautiful and available woman who is very busy and your time is precious. If he wants to meet you , then he needs to be more thoughtful and considerate. I would think long and hard before I would agree to another date.

I had my 1st poofer do this to me twice. But, he cancelled the night before the date....enough time for me to get excited about it and then let down. He had seemingly legitimate excuses but then never rescheduled the last time he did it. We had the token "1st date" that never materialized for a 2nd one.

Hold out for the right one. The right one will never cancel on you and the right one will never keep you guessing! (I guess I need to take my own advice most times! )

Glad your sundae didn't disappoint.

Nope, the sundae's never disappoint.

Oh Shelly, I've been around the block so to speak on the dating game and I now know what I am up "against". 6 years ago I might have actually agreed to meet the next night because my self esteem was in the toilet at that time. But now I am out of that mind set and in a totally new frame of mind.

This is the second time in a year that this has happened to me and it does suck, but I know that I'll be ok.

Do I sit and wonder if I'm destined to be alone forever, sure I do. But I'm not as upset as I would have been in the past.

I showed my boys that I could shrug it off like it was his loss and everything is still ok with me and the world.
