Firstly, my ex-husband was not unfaithful (it is my fiance that inflicted that particular joy upon me) but that doesnt stop him being a fuckwit of the highest (or lowest) order.

After a lot of soul searching, I have listed all his gifts that he gave to me on eBay. This includes jewellery, a watch, Mont Blanc pens.

A couple of people suggested I keep the things for my children, but as Fuck Knuckle does not pay ANY child support through ingenious means of minimising his income, then he does not get the credit for "gifts" passed to my kids.

So, it felt good to list them, although it has taken me nearly seven years to let go of the "sentimental" value.

I realise in holding onto anger, I was holding onto the marriage and my feelings. Selling these things is a big step in letting go and moving on.

I think it is a brilliant idea. I have thrown out and donated all of gifts.

Fuck me - child support is so minimal here I just can't believe he's not even paying that. What a POS.

I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!

Good for you. I only wish I had anything from X that was worth a damn thing.

I didn't have much but what I did have was sold or given away. Wedding rings included. I didn't want anything left to bring bad karma to me.
It's very freeing to let it all go.

^^^agree with the above.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) for me I was only given crap gifts, generally of the touristy kind, after every episode of cheating whilst he was o/s. They went in the bin as, much like him, they didn't have any real value .

It was wonderfully freeing, it means that now my home is trigger free and a relaxing place to be that is free of his taint .

For me the act of removing them did help to let go and keep moving forward.

I went to one of those gold places last summer and ditched a lot of jewelry from my XH last summer. It felt awesome.

I still have a few pieces left from my former inlaws, but honestly the sentimental attachment is wearing off. I have been thinking of getting rid of some of those things as well.

Keep calm and carry on.

I'm hanging on to it all in case I need it to fill in "spaces" in my income. Ex doesn't pay me sometimes. Doubt I'd get more than a month's worth in my budget but at least it will pay the rent. Uncertain times.

I divorced him because I didn't like his girlfriend.
