I was browsing this morning and saw this article about positive pregnancy tests for sale on Craigslist.
Immediately my mind jumped to a scenario we see often here of the former AP claiming to be pregnant. Sadly, sometimes it turns out to be true. But we often see people worrying and worrying only for the claim to have been another lie, or a tactic to prolong the affair. I don't really want to get in to stats we can't back up or debate. I just wanted to point out this article and once again reiterate how very important a DNA test is if their is a claim of pregnancy in play.
I guess overall I just wanted people to be aware of how low some people will sink

Ugh. So low-down and dirty.
We're both in our 30s. One awesome 4-year-old daughter.

It's sad that almost nothing surprises me anymore. Still... very good for people to know and be aware of what is going on out there. Amazing the depths people will sink to.

This was on the news in my local area just last night. The local news showed over 100 ads posted in 3 days of women selling their positive pregnancy tests for 20-25 bucks each. They emailed lots of the posters, but received exactly 0 replies back.
My H looked at me and said "I don't know what's sadder, the person who's buying the test, or the person who's selling it". Good point.
This really smells like the women who pretend to be pregnant for 8 months and then kill some pregnant woman to steal her baby from her. It starts of small, like buying a positive pregnancy test, and easily gets out of control. Such a sad footnote on the timeline of our humanity.

I'll be a cynic and say I wish I had one of these during my wife's affair. Let's just say I've been tutored for a long time, so the chances of me getting my wife pregnant are zero. During her A, her periods were really out of whack, and at one point I joked that she must be pregnant, thinking that she would joke back. She surprised me with her forceful response that if she was, it had to be mine, got angry, and changed the subject. I would of loved having one of these to make her take a pregnancy test with - maybe I would of outed the A more than a year earlier than I did. Her AP wasn't fixed, so getting pregnant was a big fear of hers. It's one of the things that I still have doubts about.

Good gravy. The lengths some people will go to to deceive. At some point some people need to stop themselves and think "I'm going to purchase something that someone peed on in order to ______ ."? There's no fill in the blank that makes this okay. Someone PEED on it. You are buying dried pee! You are purchasing human waste! Urine need of more help than craigslist can provide there sparky.

My WW and I have decided to move forward with trying to get pregnant.
I told her up front that any child of hers was going to have paternity testing done to prove that I'm the father.
Hopefully there is no way that a paternity test can be faked.
