Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Suicide has touched my life several times, and each of the lives that was lost weighs on my heart every day.
All of us have experienced pain, loss, depression, and hopelessness at one point or another. Many SI members are in those places now. It can be overwhelming and seem relentless.
If you are feeling any of those things, please reach out. Please. There is no shame in what you are feeling. There is support for you. There is relief for you. People DO care.
Reach out to family, friends, your doctor, your counselor. Post on SI or contact a suicide prevention resource for help.
