They were looking for wxh. We've been divorced for 5 years now.

It appears that he's been one step ahead of the bill collectors for quite some time.

I'd better start makin popcorn. Sign

What a jagoff.

Were you extra helpful by giving them any contact information for him (and any of his family members) that you might have?

Gaby, I tried to call them back, but they were closed. I'll call tomorrow wi the information.

I'm tired of this. The calls are getting more frequent.

It also pisses me off. Th root cause of his A was that I "didn't support him in his desire to be self- employed". He's still refusing to get a real fucking job and he's failing miserably.

While I'm glad that I have removed myself from the train wreck that is his life, I think: what was it all for?? Are you happy, you simple, selfish motherfucker?

Oh, and at the time of the A's, he told his whore that he made all of the money, and that she would never have to work when they get married. Here I sit, in my nice house, with my job and health insurance- living a really wonderful life. It's just crazy how delusional he was.

Don't you love that little bit of karma??

I've received phone calls from collectors for the POS, and I may have *inadvertently* provided them with his contact info.

I do enjoy the karma, but it also triggers me.

Williesmom's new answering machine message:

If you are a collection agency looking for Jagoff (to whom I am no longer married), you may contact him at the following numbers:

For everyone else, I'm so sorry I missed your call. Please leave your name and number...

So sorry it triggers you, WM. He's an idiot and his continued poor decisions are still bouncing into your life.

Hopefully the calls will stop sooner rather than later.

OMG Willie, we are twins!! My Ex was EXACTLY the same!

The calls only stopped when I cut off my house phone. I still occasionally get mail from the IRS, creditors, and the state CS enforcement (and so he fled the country -- gotta love that). They trigger me like crazy, so I set them aside for a day or two and then black out my address and return to sender.

I wish you peace

I have not yet gotten calls but for some reason xh does not remove our former joined email from his credit card and utility accounts and so I have been getting an increasing amount of past due notifications. I guess it is just a matter of time..

I still get mail for my XWH#1 and an occasional phone call, even after 10yrs. I just throw it in the trash or tell them they have the wrong #. I tried return to sender, calling the places, etc..Nothing worked, so now I just ignore it as best as I can. It used to make WH#2 mad, but now he also just ignores it too or we have a laugh over it. It does get less and less over time, so just hang in there.

Maybe it's time to file yet another USPS address forwarding order for your xWH to his correct mailing address.

I wouldn't leave the voicemail message b/c that'll keep his name associated with your number so debt collectors will see you as a route to him, something you definitely don't want.

How about caramel corn for this? I think it deserves it's own special flavor!

Ironically, I JUST received a collections call for POS on my cell AND at my place of work. I can understand the trigger, but it does simply get to the point of being annoying, quite honestly.

I have put this particular debt collector on notice that I will be filing a complaint with the FTC and my state's AG office if they attempt to contact me or my place of employment. What a pain, but at least I know that even though he drug my credit through the mud, my own credit score hemorrhage has stopped, his is still, obviously, plummeting. This is all the sweeter knowing that for a long time his credit score was slightly higher than mine, even when he was unemployed and my income was paying all the bills...

Hang in there Williesmom! This too shall pass...

Collection call today

If this is a home phone, would you consider cancelling the line? I'm a city girl who's survived quite contentedly without a land line for 13+ years.

Sorry xWH is an ass and a financial deadbeat!

I need the land line for my security system. No one ever calls me on it.

I think they're googling his former address, and my name/ number comes up.

I would love to break NC and rip him a new fecal exit point, but it's just not worth it.

Oh yes, I occassionally get those. I quite helpfully give them his cell phone, work phone, parents' names and contact info, his brother's name and contact info, as well as his SIL's name, work phone, and cell phone. Sometimes I have to look those up, but they don't seem to mind.

ETA: you have to have the line for security, but can you turn off the ringer?

Change your security to wireless and let the land line go.

Change your security to wireless and let the land line go.

Or get a new, unlisted land line number (since nobody calls it)

When they call, I give them XWH's phone number, and throw in OW's phone number for good measure

My security company requires a landline. So, until February, I have to keep it.

My number was unlisted, but I recently listed it - thinking that 5 years was long enough after the d.

I just wish he would go away.
