Today is my 18th wedding anniversary (since we still are separated for financial reasons...filing the end of the year to get the last tax break) and I didn't even remember until a few hours in! Woo HOO! Last year I still felt some pain...today I'm not feeling any pain. None. It really is amazing how time heals.
I think I'm happier that I don't feel pain...does that make sense? I'll go buy myself something pretty today.

Yay! I think that is a huge testament to the growth and healing you've done. Definitely buy yourself something pretty, you more than deserve it!

Totally makes sense!... Congratulations! Time and true detachment are the cure, and like you I am so glad I am at the same place. None of us would have believed it could be true, but as the wise ones who guided us by virtue of their own experiences has shown, it is.
Now get going on treating yourself! Best of luck to you!
Edit, I hate my spelling mistakes...

It would have been my 18th as well.
It's a distant memory and kind of a meh moment for me now.
I really don't forget though because it's also my Dad and stepmom's (OW) 17th anniversary too. A bit weird.
SO-5 years together-he decided to end it by cheating too

Last year I still felt some pain...today I'm not feeling any pain. None. It really is amazing how time heals. Time does wonders for healing.
Today is my 35th and the second one since dday. I'm not really sad just disappointed that instead of celebrating I'm looking forward to the day I can say I'm D. It won't be soon enough for me.

My first 'anniversary' post D would have been the 34th. I de-celebrated it by going to Las Vegas with SI friends--it was great!
The following year I was busy with work and almost forgot about it. It does get more 'meh' as the years go on.
I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.
