So it seems I just can't get a break, or get ahead. Last week it was a crappy birthday, and an emergency cat surgery.
This week the Hot Water heater died, and my car is hemmorhaging power steering fluid. So while we wait for the part, I am riding with H for transportation. GRRR.

I enjoy riding to work with him occasionally, but I hate being stuck here, and I don't get to make my random stops on the way home, because he is always in a hurry to get home to do something or other.

Hot water heater replaced, and seems to be functioning. Thank you Sweet wonderful Spouse.

Car Par arrived late yesterday- Here's hoping he can get that fixed tonight.

But seriously, I would love to have a few days where I don't have spend gobs of $$ on things that you have to have. I need some new clothes, and of course I keep robbing that fund for everyone else. I guess when my pants start falling off, I won't have choice.....

Ok.

So...

YOU didn't die.

Your CAT isn't hemorrhaging power steering fluid (and I'm assuming "hemorrhaging is spelled correctly since that's how you spelled it and since I am also assuming you are actually a nurse).

Your CAR doesn't need full surgery.

And who cares about water heaters and birthdays - after a certain point, they all are crappy.

Does that help any?

Hug & mojo for sunnier days soon.

Thank you Setmefree!!!

I needed someone to knock me off the pity pot.
And yes I am real nurse. Formally a real tush nurse...Now a Care Manager.

BTW, my car does need a full transplant. It is nearly dead, and because it's an old Mercedes, it costs abazillion dollars to have the shops do anything to it.

Anyway, I'm sure things will turn brighter soon.

Yeah, I totally read cat in the initial post.

I'm sorry tushnurse. We've had a series of events here that have been making us pull our hair out and scream in frustration.

As if drama isn't bad enough, it happens in sets.

On the bright side, it sounds like you may very well be driving my dream car (how "old"? Like, classic old?).

I know when it rains, it pours. Hoping for some sunny days ahead!

(((Tush)))

After all that, you deserve a huge chocolate lava cake with ice cream and strawberries. I hope things turn around. Sending mojo.

Jo - Thanks that sounds quite awesome. I was actually sitting at my desk rationalizing why it would be ok for me to go get bacon from the cafeteria this morning.

Sully - Yup I was an Ass Nurse when I joined. I managed and did all the RN work for a pair of colorectal surgeons, and had prior been an endoscopy nurse. So if you have a gut issue/question, I will most likely have an answer, it may be long winded, but I will have one.

Want- Old in not old enough to awesome, but too old to be any good. LOL It's a 2000 E430. It is still a great looking car, but anyting on the interior that was made with plastic has broken (ie cup holder, hood release) and the parts are CRAZY expensive. When she's running and running right, I love it.
And H got the PS hose replaced, so it's almost well. Has a few other things he needs to fix, but he needs more time.

OK so These things are minor in the grand scheme of things, but it just doesn't stop, and then I found out my son was blowing off one of his classes and has a HORRIBLE grade.
So finally last night, after working, driving kids hither and tither, helping H in the sweltering heat, I had a meltdown of epic proportions. It would have made my 14 year proud.
This perimenopause shit is for the birds, because today I'm all smiles....WTF?

Anyway Happy Thursday!!!

OK so it lasted 24 hours.
Went out to my car this am, and my DS had left the windows cracked, and sunroof totally open, and it rained overnight. So then I went to go do a nusiance bee call this morning before going to my real job. I managed to get completely filthy. Takes longer than normal because it's raining, and the guy totally misrepresented where these ground hornets were.
Run to the store to get different pants for work, and my freaking car won't go into gear. Seriously?!?!?
ARRRGH. H comes to rescue me, runs me to work, and heads to work himself. He finds out there is some magic secret button that you have to press when this happens, of course I have had this car for 12 years, and NEVER have had this happen.

Now I have to pack up and go do the car shuffle again. I'm finishing my Friday from home, and I'm cooking take out for dinner!!!

I'm so sorry, tushie. Although I know we've tried to lighten some of this earlier, I also understand how sometimes it just makes you want to stand in the middle of your street, naked, and just scream. (At least that's the case for me.)

I just try to tell myself that maybe I'm getting all this crap out of the way at once...that I'm preparing myself for a couple of really fabulous months - where nothing goes wrong.

In the meantime...here, use my umbrella.

(((((tm))))))
