And while I know he'd do it... I also know how much he loves that dang phone, and I hate him losing something he enjoys so much. Especially when it makes life so much easier.

Your making excuses for his poor behavior that it's because of this phone...fuck that. It has nothing to do with his phone. It has to do with his immature and weak boundries. He's like a 7th grader getting caught looking at porn on his cell phone. What happens?... He broke the trust so bye bye phone. You need to explain to him that this phone is your trigger and you aren't going to stand for it...period. If he refuses to change, you have to follow up on your threats.
