Yes, we signed in front of a notary. Luckily for me the Judge knew that I had been duped into signing the deed. Hopefully your situation is different since you have text communication from him. One thing going in your favor is he doesn't sound too bright so your situation may be different. Plus I'm in California where everything is 50/50 anyway.

I don't think you have any thing to worry about. Just continue to ignore him but be careful because you never know what these NPD freaks are going to do.

I think...therefore, I'm single.

It is what it is.

Want to know the really scary part about that [read sarcasm]? This man has a MBA and has been chief of police for three different cities...

He has lost his sense of control and is going ballistic!!

Exactly!

IF you were talking to him, I would so love for you to say, "Wish in one hand and shit in the other and see what you're left with."

Deeds can be set aside by the Court if the objecting party can come up with a good legal reason. Don't cave in though. Unless he files suit against you, there really isn't anything to worry about. Some states require two witnesses and a notary, other states require only the notary or one witness. It wouldn't be a bad idea to get a free consult from someone and ask about any concerns you have.

I've got a notarized Quit Claim from you granting me sole ownership of the house legally, and you have signed the divorce agreement in front of a notary that gives me the house in its entirety and that has been officially filed with the court.
Done. He's barking up the wrong tree here. Sounds like a bunch of NPD posturing if you ask me.

Nope...

Sounds like a bunch of NPD posturing if you ask me.

Yep...! That's his MO. When things don't go his way he lashes out quickly with outlandish threats and ridiculous demands. However, never once has he followed through on any of the threats or received anything he demanded. This will be no different.

I intend to ignore him completely, and hopefully he will just leave me alone until our court hearing to finalize the dissolution on October 19th...that cannot come fast enough for me!

Sell the house ASAP. (J/K)
