Yep. I've gotta tell you: Leaving her was hard. Standing up on my own two feet was harder.
But now I have some self esteem - more than at any other time in my life. I'm not going to pretend this has been easy on our kids, but it has to be an improvement in the long run. They had two broken parents, but now one of them is climbing out of that hole of depression (that would be me). They see me becoming the strong, independent man I want them to become.
A mantra I have taped on my computer monitor: Inaction is a decision.
And I'm done with deciding to sit still.
