Okay, it's a little thing, but it's just strange.

Last Thursday, Teslet went on a field trip to the apple orchard...he picked some apples and when he got home, begged to bake them into an apple pie. So we did.
Friday morning, since Teslet was sick, ex-shat picked him up from my place before I went into work. Teslet asked to take his pie with him, so I packed it up, handed it to ex-shat and told him it was a pie that Teslet had made last night.

Tonight when I pick Teslet up, he asks if I still had his pie. I told him no, remember, he took it to dad's. Teslet said the pie disappeared and he didn't get to eat any of it. He was nearly in tears...I told him that we'd make another one tomorrow night.
What the hell was that about?
Like I said, a small thing...but I just don't get it.

Maybe the dog got into it or something. Either way, you think he'd be more careful with the pie that his four year old made and wanted to share with him. The poor kid must have been heartbroken.

Ummmm ... ex-shat ate it? It's so sad that Teslet didn't even get to eat the pie he made with you. Or even get an explanation. Or it would have been considerate if ex-shat explained to you why Teslet didn't get to eat his pie.

I know that NC and limited contact is awesome....but I would have to ask ex-shat what happened to the pie.

I think OW tossed it in an effort to mark her territory. I know it is a line in the sand that I drew in my own home.
My kids showed up at my house with food their father's "friend" made only once. It promptly "disappeared" into a trash can.
I told then-STBXH if he ever sent my kids home with crap from his whores (whether it was food, gifts, or whatever) there would be hell to pay. It never happened again.

ETA:
It really sucks for Teslet, but at least you know you'll have another great evening baking another pie with him. And you'll get to enjoy eating it with your baby boy.

That is so messed up! Think I would be asking asshole what happened to it since Teslet is asking.

When the kids had visitation with their dad I didn't throw things out or refuse to let the kids bring things home.

I think...therefore, I'm single.

It is what it is.

LOL. When the first poster said the "dog ate it", my first thought was, you mean ex-shat? I never thought of the actual canine living in the home.

If only you knew whether ex-asshat ate it, put laxatives in it next time

What a mean thing to do to your kid.

I wouldn't eat anything those whores made but I would have no problem if my girls wanted to eat it.

The girls and I make gingerbread men. I put two in DD5s lunchbox to share with one of her friends at after-school care because she is really proud of herself.

She decides she wants to share it with her dad. He tell her "No - I don't want to eat anything your mother made". She says "But I made it".

I understand this puts him in an awkward position but FFS - have a little empathy for the position she is in and at least try to soften it. Tell her you're not hungry or encourage her to eat it herself or share it with her sister. There are other options besides being a massive fuckwit.

I get that stripper whore probably was not too thrilled that a pie from the ex-wife's house showed up.

But jeez, you gotta at least let Teslet eat it.

Know what Teslet was sent home with from their place last night...fancy remote control car.

So true. If they did chuck it its a dick move.

Evil SBB wonders if a remote control can get accidentally baked into an Apple Pie?

Evil SBB has awesome ideas that would be TERRIBLE to act on.

I would also ask what happened to the pie, and not even think of it as an NC vio because it's important to Teslet. Anything could have happened, and I hope it was the dog and not ex-shat pigging the whole thing or SW throwing it out.

I have the reverse situation. The pie waffle baked with the apples the kids and I is coming home to *me* (not the kids, he says, they don't eat it) after next kid exchange. Great.

Save the next pie for me! Heat it up and put some vanilla ice cream on it!

No way would I be sending an apple pie off to AssHat's house. Easy for me to second guess, but I would have suggested that since you made it together, you should enjoy it together..

My guess is that Stripper Whore tossed the pie and likely chewed out AssHat over it..LOL

Parenting in your situation must be really difficult when toys like that show up. I am way old fashioned and would limit time with certain toys like that..

Things like that and video games can consume them totally..

Alright Tesla, time to turn Teslet and Lie Lie over to me!
