I am currently in a phase of thinking "I would date WH but never marry him" knowing what I know now about his character. We are 5 months into R and actually just had our first weekend without an A "flare up" (aka one of us breaking down). I wonder if it is because things are getting better or if it is because I am starting to care less...

Honestly? All part of the roller coaster, IMO. I had moments -- nay, DAYS -- when I would have happily divorced the jerk. I had days of total apathy. Etc, etc At 5 months out... emotions are still flip-flopping wildly. And yes, sometimes reactions were actually more acute after a "good" weekend. Something about the contrast between "normality" and all of the strong feelings you're having.

((((Catchy))))

Yeah Blobette - that is what I am thinking too which is why I am trying to NOT make any decisions or proclamations right now. Just wait and see how it plays out. As a childless stepmom I have very little incentive or need to stay should I decide that he is not the right person to be with long term though. My feelings now though are not anger - rather pity and sympathy - kind of like "Oh WH you soooo don't deserve me and I am sorry for that, but lets have fun for now because it just won't last"
