she would put her answer in the most hurtful way possible.
I still have scars from that.

That is some of the harder stuff to get through IMO. I don’t know what you do with that. My W was remorseful and trying to be honest but not trying to hurt me. Her honesty did hurt me though. The way she thought about it all was just painful. But she never spent any time trying to figure anything out before DDay. She has now and her view of the past is changing. I’m not sure “love” would have been enough for me to stay M if her view of the past did not evolve.

Alright guys, I am officially done. What am I done with? This week. Work. Chores. Driving. Time for hoppy blissfulness:

After this one, I am going to pour myself a couple of fingers of single malt scotch, fill up my pipe with an English blend of tobacco, and sit in the back yard while I watch leaves fall off of our cottonwood tree.

And may I add, THANK YOU, MH, for the image button, the larger text box, and the preview button! You rock, sir.

Huh? MH reads this thread? Pshaw.

You guys have some great looking beers. I'll stick to my old boring old everyday beer.

Tonight I have a date with a beautiful girl who is one of the funniest and sweetest people I know. She's my 14-year old daughter, and since her older sister has plans and her mother and twin brothers are attending a classmate's birthday party, tonight seems like a great night to take my daughter out to dinner and celebrate her awesome report card. She can pick the restaurant.

In a chaotic house, it's not often that you get a chance for quality one-on-one time with a kid, especially a middle child who has to compete for attention with an alpha older sister and younger twin brothers.

Think positive. Look for the joy in life. It's still there to be found, in a hundred small ways.

ETA: That's great LetMeRollIt. Glad you found us!

Damn good advice guys. I look forward to the day that I may be in a place to help someone in my shoes. Until then I'm reading and learning.

I did something for myself that makes me grin like an idiot. I grew a beard that was god awful. I shaved that puppy off and left a mustache that would make Wyatt Earp tremble. I'm wearing the shit out of this mother fucker too!

I can't get pics to load from my phone otherwise I'd share. It like a mustache with titties it's so cool!

I just polished off the better part of a bottle of really good red wine. I needed it for a recipe tonight and I thought it would be a shame to let it go to waste. Please offer your condolences to my head when I wake up tomorrow.

h0peless - Sending you about 14 virtual bottles of water for the AM. If you have to do anything productive in the morning, green tea mixed with ginseng is a good thing. I like red wine, but if I have too much of it, it almost gives me as much of a headache as UB40. Take care.

All I'm doing tomorrow is watching my step brother's football game. I'll be fine. If I have to, I'll revery to my old hangover remedy from college: a Whopper with cheese.

Sipping on Canadian whiskey tonight. Only sipping though. STBX is almost done with the refinance. It's our last common asset / debt. It looks like I'll have to make one last mortgage payment though. It's late on Friday and I'm not taking any chances. Cheers gentlemen

Welcome LetMeRollIt.

Uhtred - I've been rocking the ZZ Top look for quite awhile now. So the wife informs me yesterday that since we're going to Indiana next month to see our son graduate from college, she would appreciate it if I trimmed the beard way back. Blasphemy!

Mr. Kite,

You keep that damn beard going! My wife hates facial hair with a passion and always demanded that I stay slick as baby.

Her AP had a goatee and a beard from time to time. I wonder why in the hell that was ok for her? She's stuck with this mustache from hell!
