You do know what goes well with hunting on a cold frosty mountain morning right? Although I do recommend waiting until the chamber has been emptied, the field knife has been sheathed, the quarters have been hung, and the Winchester .270 has been remounted in the rack in the back window of the '77 Chevy.
Good luck, and keep it safe fellas. And again send me some jerky!!!!

Glad to see we have ome fellow hunters here.

Last weekend I went mule deer hunting down near Truth or Consequences. I levelled down on a fat little 3x3 with my .270, and shot above and all around him! Missed him clean!

He just stood there still as stone. I estimated he was 350 yards from me. Well he eventually ran off and my buddy finally came running over from the other side of the hill. He took a shot with his range finder to a rock where the buck had been standing....504 yards!

No wonder I wasn't hitting him! These old eyes have lost their depth perception. Time to get a range finder.

Last time I drank Yeagermeister was in 1989. Me and my buddies were partying and they made me down three glasses of this stuff. I think I actually hallucinated and then I passed out. When I woke up I was laying under a field goal cage in a soccer pitch two miles from where the party had been. I have zero recollection of how I got there!

Former dove hunter here

Dove and pheasant are my favorite hunts. In college lived in a major migratory path for doves. Me and a buddy would go out and walk 100 yards of sunflowers, turn around walk the other way, rinse and repeat until out of shells. Deep fried dove nuggets are about as good as it comes. Add a Dos Equis with lime, meal fit for a king.

Best of luck to you with MC, Sproket. How are you feeling with the things that are coming out with your wife during these sessions? Do you think communication is improving?

Dang Losfer, does that pic make me want to make my nose all white and fluffy or what? My envy's as thick as that head - geez. Yum.

I'm with DefeatedDad, don't touch Jagers (or Woodford or gin).
I'd wake under or over the goalpost - with a black eye to boot. Be well brothers.

What a mighty hunter I am...thought I'd prep tonight. Got the 30-30 out and figured two rounds should be good. Two rounds. Fifteen minutes later of digging through ammo, guess what I don't have? 30-30 ammo. Not a single fucking round. Must of shot them all up this summer when I went shooting with my son. Panic sets in. And then I think - WWTD? So, I call my neighbor who is a hunter even thought it's 10pm. Hey mate, any chance you can spare a couple of 30-30 rounds? He happened to have five rounds. Whew. Hopefully I'll give him four back tomorrow afternoon.

Love Jaeger! Depth bomb in a beer...mmmmmmmm! My wife and I once did a shot a TD when the Skins were playing the Boys...Skins won 35-7. We did not expect that. At all. Man, were we pissed. Ah, the good old days...

Peace and love brothers.

Sprocket remember that with MC you only get out of it what you put into it, like anything else. This is your WW's chance to really show she cares about the marriage.

Also, you need to make sure her affair is really over. Otherwise going to MC is throwing money down a hole.

Awesome Sunset.

Sal, TBH, it was the first thought through my head. Five for five? For real? Absolutely convinced that *this one* was safe. Never again.

One of my determining factors for R was that there are NO guarantees that you're going to do any better by D. Unless you do join the monks.

Tred,

I'll get up early, see if I can bag something, but I do have an 11:00 tee time so the entire day won't be sitting in the woods drinking

You must be a better golfer than I am!

Sproket, DD has a really good point.

Also, you need to make sure her affair is really over. Otherwise going to MC is throwing money down a hole.

That includes the emotional side too.

Gentlemen, submitted for your approval.

Reporter said the guy owns strip clubs?

Funny how over reporter's left shoulder is...orking you...
I'm sure that wasn't planned

It's funny at first, then sad to me. I get the gesture, I don't get the destination: Indifferenceville.

Constant reminder - no thanks.

I think I like the bird. After driving around in Texas' sweltering heat, giving her...mmm...I seem to remember @$300, the last memory I have of her is shooting me the bird for the privilege (since I wouldn't let her abuse me any more - I established boundaries).

The bird. Helped me detach.
Turns out it was one of those zoofoo lessons in turning a shit sandwich to sunshine.
Nice memory, the bird.
Clinging to the memory gave me power to detach.
