Oh please.

This woman is not a psychic. Her followers are dupes.

Until people grow up, until we quit believing in magic, her worshipful acolytes will be awed by every hackneyed platitude she posts.

Read up skepticism, scientific method, and rationality.

I love the Amazing Randi Challenge - he will give a million bucks to anyone who can *prove* they have supernatural powers. Anyone. If this gal is so good, let her do her parlor tricks in a controlled environment, in front of people who have performed these illusions for decades. Fastest way for her to get rich she'll ever have fall into her lap. (No fair saying she "doesn't have anything to prove to anybody." That's just liar-talk for "chicken." Put up or shut up.)

See, one way to chip away at these people's power is to quit feeding the fantasy / fraud. Call her a huckster, call her a charlatan, but don't call her a psychic. THOSE are unicorns.

Hugs and strength. Read this and laugh your face off--in spite of your hurt--when you come to the part that most resembles OW!

The very best thing I did was delete my entire "self" from effing face book and social networks. Both XPerv and Fatty B are plastered on them all and I want absolutely nothing to do with it, but also to make sure there is no chance in hell that they have a connection to me. I know, there are all kind of ways to be on there but I would be too tempted and...I'm just done with it all.

You know, after the initial shock wears off and I found something to do with the time, it felt and still feels really, really good. I no longer search for either and it's a source of pride that's come back. Admitting it was a huge trigger went a long way, with some reality for myself after it caused setbacks.

And, it doesn't matter now, but it bothered XPerv when I deleted my stuff because he couldn't look at mine anymore.

Sometimes, silence and deleting is a louder message than words or actions.

Silence can be profund...and very loud.

Thanks - I cannot wait to read everything recommended. I decided I shouldn't look at Facebook anymore. Just thinking about looking at the wisdom she is departing to all the fools duped by her makes my heart start to race. It's not healthy.

There will always be those willing to take advantage of others through their so called "spiritual gifts". I am amazed at the following these people get - while they laugh all the way to the bank.

OW woman actually told me I can't control other peoples emotions and feelings. I told her she's right - that's how an affair starts - 2 people "naturally" fall in love. But I DO NOT have to tolerate the intolerable. I don't have to be the leftovers.

lynnm1947 - I LOVED the Huffington Post article! Reminds me of getting the 10 page "bragfest" Christmas letter from the family that we barely know. Seems that as a society we have become a rather selfish and shallow bunch.

I'm learning to let OW "unicorns, fairies and angel readings" bother me less and less. The advice offered on SI is so helpful!

Maybe we should go comment on her page for you.

Am loving this idea...

I have fb!

OW1 inadvertently let me know WH loves English breakfast tea. Never ever saw him drink it. And I never will.
