So I am a big believer in resilience; raised our kids with it, etc. I also really enjoy challenging myself and my H has always happily joined in.

So I think that has helped us rise to the biggest challenge to date--R.

We have been through so much together. We met in professional school, so we got through that, internships, residency, first jobs, kids, building our "dream home", practice ownership etc. We challenged ourselves on purpose with marathons, triathlons, bungee jumping, white shark cage diving, etc. So we have actually been quite good at being a team and working together.

And that has really been put to the test. But we seem to be passing! This weekend as I watched my H struggle to maintain our typical pace up the tallest mountain in the northeast in spite of a bad cold and without complaint, just to make me happy, I said that there wasn't anything we couldn't handle together as a team. And he agreed.

Now that I do finally feel that he has my back (for really the first time in our relationship) and puts my needs equal to his, I actually trust him more than ever. Now that we are EQUAL partners, instead of me always giving the lion's share.

Here's to all of us and our ultimate challenge!

Inspiring post catlover50!

I continue to follow you up that mountain. While I don't feel my wife has my back as you feel your hubby has your back, I have faith we will get there.

Keep up the good work....and keep leaving those trail markers (keep posting) for us...the less skilled climbers of this bunch!
