It just piles up. I have mountains of divorce paperwork. My discovery. His discovery. Reams of letters, emails, drafts of this 'n that motion, petition, pleading... Counselor reports, psych evaluations, parenting evaluation. Then there's the mammoth mountain of evidence I have regarding his perversions.

WHAT DO I DO WITH ALL THIS STUFF????

I'll very possibly be headed for appeals court as soon as the final decree is signed. So, I can't chuck all this stuff. I need it for probably two more years.

But what do I NEED? There's so much!

I'd keep it all just to be safe. Put it in a box or a safe and tuck it away somewhere.

Can you scan some of it and save it on your computer - and a backup elsewhere?

I keep saying I'll do this myself. In my case, STBX shows up at my house and goes through my things twice a week. I need to start scanning ASAP.

I have mine in big notebooks with tabs. Things for court in one. Discovery items...over 1000 pages scanned and stored on a cd. My discover is on a memory stick. I would keep it for at least five years in case he wants to go back to court regarding custody.

I'm saving mine because I might have to use it again someday against exwh and whore.

Put it in the garage!!!
Just kidding...I hope you know I was just kidding.

At least you know that wherever you do decide to put it, you will be able to find it later because he cannot mess with it.

I would hope that gives you a tiny bit of piece of mind.

Put it in the garage!!!

That is some funny shit

I like the notebook idea - get some 3 ring binders and sort it that way.
I just looked at the Staples web site and they can scan documents and put it on a flash drive for you. That might be a better way to go.

Do you guys know something about scanning that I don't? 'Cuz scanning takes forever, one page at a time. Unless there's some other kind of scanning I don't know about, or a scanning machine I don't have.

I have probably a two foot stack of paperwork.

Two points for Lola.

Flatbed scanning is slow and page by page. Any office supply store or Pip/Kinkos/copy store can make quick work of your pile of documents.

Mine cost about $100 on Amazon. I use it all the time.

I wouldn't let Staples or any public place see my personal papers - nothing that has social security numbers on it, and nothing re: SA.

I have kept mine for 10yrs from my D from XWH#1. Just recently I needed a copy of something from there for a life insurance policy. I just threw mine in a big blue tub and put in in the shed. You never know when you will need it. Hopefully I can burn it before long as my son is now grown and as far as I know I won't be needing it for anything else.

Put it in the garage. LMAO

It must be Funny Friday or something. Almost everything I have read today has made me laugh.

CH, that is a huge concern of mine. Last year I had to get a new computer & had Best Buy copy my files over. I had to talk to the manager ahead of time because of the horrific evidence I had in my files, some of it photographic. The LAST thing I want is for some local yokel to get their hands on the stuff I have, or even the parenting evaluation.
