I say we kill the thread before this Christmas. I don't even want to think about Christmas.....there's still to much snow on the ground. I want grass...

MovingUpward posted 3/9/2015 09:58 AM

I see grass which is amazing after 17" snowfall last week.

DragnHeart posted 3/9/2015 12:19 PM

Did you suddenly have a massive increase in temps to melt all that snow?

Ugh. No chance of seeing grass here for a while. Even with the temps a bit warmer. Actually if it warms up enough I expect to have a house with a mote (sp?) around it.
I'll take flooding over snow

MovingUpward posted 3/9/2015 12:35 PM

Yep, the temps jumped to the 50s this past weekend and we had lots of sun to help too.

Lola2kids posted 3/11/2015 13:08 PM

Where exactly are you Dragn?
Here in Tdot the banks at the side of roads are almost clear and the grass is poking through.
We still have the ugly dirty piles all over but the rain this weekend just might take care of that.

Now the bad part is the dog poop is starting to make an appearance through the snow.

And grass just makes me sneeze.
Not looking forward to allergy season.

Lola2kids posted 3/11/2015 13:12 PM

I got my answer from the Ontario thread Dragn.

I'll bet I know which city you are closer to if you have that much snow.

Na ne na ne boo boo

DragnHeart posted 3/12/2015 07:57 AM

Sorry. I missed this.

I can make it to Toronto in about two hours (if I stick to the speed limits ). I guess its safe to say that I'm up in Kawartha Lakes region now. Far enough North to be out of the GTA but still close enough to drive there.

Temps are up here. I can see grass. Of course with melting snow comes puddles and MUD and my older kids took full advantage if that last night. ended up having to wash their snow suits. Its colder this morning with the breeze but in the sun its nice.

MovingUpward posted 3/12/2015 07:59 AM

Last week it was in the teens with a low down to -10. This morning it was 39 and heading toward 60. All the snow from last week is gone.

Lola2kids posted 3/12/2015 08:03 AM

You'd think that on this site we would be used to the "roller coaster" in different areas.

Today it will only just break the freezing mark temperature wise.
It fells downright balmy to me.

MovingUpward posted 3/12/2015 08:54 AM

Yeah. Sixties is time to open the pool.

DragnHeart posted 3/12/2015 11:18 AM

Well I can say Spring is here when I take off my thermols

As long as I sit in the sun I'm good.

DS left his Tonka trucks and tractors out by the bird feeder. Mr. Squirrel hopped onto them. I wasn't fast enough for a picture but damn that was cute!

Today is a somewhat sad day for me. 32 years ago today I lost a dear friend. On the other hand tomorrow is DD3s birthday. She'll be 24. Yes her birthday is on Friday the 13th...

How come we don't see white dog poo any more?

Lola2kids posted 3/17/2015 10:28 AM

I think they got rid of the nasty dog food that made the white poop. I know what you mean though.

I thought it was the sun that made white dog poop

MrsDoubtfire posted 4/20/2015 03:37 AM

And here was me thinking white dog poop came from dogs

DragnHeart posted 4/20/2015 05:58 AM

I came in here yesterday. Couldn't think of anything to say on the topic of poop but....

We made a joke to the kids that the Easter bunny was coming to poop chocolate all over the house. Did you know that the poop of a Flemish Giant rabbit IS the size of those little chocolate eggs wrapped in foil???
