DragnHeart posted 4/20/2016 11:07 AM

Ok Here she is.

jrc1963 posted 4/20/2016 13:45 PM

Cool

DragnHeart posted 4/20/2016 15:00 PM

I actually got some of the yellow on her. Since we moved her (beside my side of the bed) she's been more active and doesn't hide as much. It's almost as if she's curious to see what I'm up to. She also comes out when I take down the mealworm bin to do a feeding. She knows lol.

jrc1963 posted 4/20/2016 18:38 PM

She's a real beauty

MrsDoubtfire posted 5/1/2016 00:49 AM

She's more active because she's stalking you. Sleep with one eye open...... Mwahahahaaaaaa

DragnHeart posted 5/1/2016 07:07 AM

Hehe, sometimes I wonder if she is stalking me. She's always out now. I think she likes the light from the window.

DragnHeart posted 8/26/2016 05:35 AM

Tarantula actually

As per one web site here's the difference:

What is the difference between Spider and Tarantula?

- Both these are spiders, but tarantulas are special type of them.

- Tarantulas are usually larger than many of the spiders.

- Not all the spiders are necessarily hairy-bodied, whereas tarantulas are always.

- The herbivory is present among spiders albeit, not among tarantulas.

- The numbers of silk exuding tube-like structures, called spinnerets, are different among them as spiders have six, while tarantulas have only two or four.

- Spiders exude silk to make webs to capture prey, whereas tarantulas do that for carpeting of floor of the nest and make hammock-like bedding for resting.

- Additionally, the silk producing glands in the feet are unique for the tarantulas.

- Presence of barbs on the fleshy abdomen is another distinguishing feature of the tarantulas.

- The lifespan is very long and economic value as a pet is very high for tarantulas compared to spiders.
