I'm reading a new book about taking risks and exciting chances..
Last year I decided to get a 2nd job where I don't work a lot but because its so specialized, I get paid a lot. I love it! It brings me back to a sport when my kids were young so I'm still involved, yet I get to use my knowledge about it too! The first time I was so nervous. But, I didn't let it stop me.
I have to concentrate so hard I don't think of "other stuff."
what about you?

I am proud that I have become strong and taken chances on things.
I am proud that I am a good-great beekeeper, and that my hobby has turned into a fledging business.

I am proud that I was able to go 11 straight days without sugar and starches. I caved this weekend but I will do it again, this time at least 14 days, if not 21!

I'm proud that at almost 30, I decided not to let anything stand in the way of my college education, and I enrolled in the local community college.
I did very well and built a lot of valuable relationships with teachers and staff. I was awarded two scholarships, one my first year that paid all of my tuition for that year, and the next year I was awarded a scholarship that pays nearly all of my cost of attendance (tuition and living expenses), as long as I keep my GPA up, until the end of graduate school.
Now I go to the state university, where I sometimes feel like the "old lady" in many of my classes, but I'm the old lady whose education is paid for.
And for that, I am proud.

After all the mistake I have made. For the first time in my life I am doing something for me. I am finally going to college and creating amazing goals for myself.

This is going to sound weird, but I am afraid of driving alone. I think I am going to get lost. I am so proud of myself that I can now go places that I never would have before BY MYSELF. That opens me up to new adventures, friends and a host of other possibilities.

I was proud of myself a couple of weeks ago when I was able to ask for a recipe in German and understood when the lady told me that she would ask which market the food came from and next time she saw me, she would have more information for me. All in German! Sometimes, it's the little things.
The consequences of telling the truth are that one becomes trustworthy... not all that other shit I worried about.
