We're taking the kids to Disney in February. Looking at flights, I find one carrier with convenient times for our flight down, an another carrier with convenient times for the flight home.

I've always just bought round trip tickets in the past. Any issues with using different airlines?

Thanks on advance

Nope! I do it all the time. I will use Southwest on the way down because I like their time to MCO, and Jetblue on the way back because I like their flight times from MCO.
I've never had an issue using two different airlines. It's a small pain sometimes because they might have different seating/check in procedures to keep in mind. But that's about it.

Nope. I find I can get better prices when I book each way separately.

I travel for a living, and I switch like that all the time.

The biggest problem would be if you have connections between 2 different airlines. If your first flight has a problem, the second airline may not care.

But one airline outbound, and a different one returning is no big deal.

I flew San Diego to Houston on Southwest last weekend, and back to San Diego on USAir on Sunday.

Take care of yourself. There's a great future out there. It won't come to you; you have to go to it.

Both ways are non-stop, which is one reason this is attractive to me

We do it that way to save money. We haven't had a problem.

Usually cost is the issue. If it isn't in your case go for it!
