Glitter scares you? You mean the amount you're about to receive or in general?

Not really scared. I actually like it because it's so sparkly, and I love sparkly. But anything you can't get rid of worries me a little. It sticks to everything, gets in places that nothing else will go, and shows up when you least expect it, long after you think you've seen the last of it. And it's itchy!

So I would by lying if I said I wasn't a little apprehensive.

I have been panicking all week. My cards that I ordered showed delivery on Tuesday. Well....they weren't in my PO box. No one else would have use for MY cards. Anyway, after spending 1 hr on the phone with UPS and USPS, I found my cards! They are now safely in my box. I'm glad the people in the next PO box over, didn't get them. They'd say "The Whatdoto's?"...that's an odd name! LOL

I have mine ready to ship and I'm going out at lunch to bring them to the post office.

My cards do not have extra glitter but some are already glitterfied from the start.
I do have some that have zero glitter.

I was thinking of opening my cards outside and letting the glitter fall in the garden.
Extra Christmas decorations for the yard.
Not sure it will be good for the plants though.

Noooo! That's SI love and mojo!

QS and I opened our cards over a big bowl. Then we put all the glitter and sparkles in a jar. It's on a shelf in our closet. Every time I walk in there, I see the sparkles and remember all the beautiful cards, notes, time, money, and effort that all the SIers put into this project. It makes me smile every time I see it.

I've been working on my cards too! Hopefully will get them on their way by Monday at the latest.

No glitter.... but I did include some pretty Christmas confetti.

Ok, I will do as you suggest Aubrie and save the glitter.

Cards are sent!
Should take 4 business days.

Lola I saved all mine in a bowl, too. It's a beautiful heart shaped white bowl that is, like, half filled with assorted glitter, confetti and sparkles. I look at it and see the love and care that went into preparing them. Also, it reminds me of what this site has meant to me and JM, literally saving our M. Makes me smile every time I look at it.

Just got back from my first trip to the post office. Pretty sure the clerk thinks I'm nuts. Yes, I realize that statement is legitimately up for debate.

Me: Hiiii! I need 2, 3...no 4 bubble mailers. No wait, I don't have to put DS's in a mailer. Ok, just three.

Clerk: Ok. Anything else? *She date-stamps all 3 mailers. I watch but think nothing of it.*

Me: Also, I need 7 $1.30 stamps. They're for the international cards.

Clerk: Well all our international stamps are $1.10. Doesn't matter where it's going.

Me: Hmm...wonder why DS said it had to be $1.30...maybe extra postage for the glitter....

Clerk: Ok....Anything else?

I did warn the woman that this was only my first trip and that I would be coming back on Saturday. Gives her plenty of time to come up with an excuse to call in sick.

And I can't figure out why I have 3 bubble mailers with date stamps all over them now. Did I get "pre-paid" mailers? I have no idea. *shrug*

Why 3 bubble mailers at all???

I have to go to the PO this Saturday and get stamps and box to mail in.

I was just going to put 3 stamps on each international card... that's always worked for me in the past.

Why 3 bubble mailers at all???
Because I made something for a couple very special people and I need bigger packaging than my Christmas card envelopes.

I think we'd need a little bit more than a bubble mailer for shipping an otter. Besides, if I ever got my hands on an otter, I'd have a hard time letting go.

@ Aubrie,

They've started doing this at my PO, too. The clerk said it is so they know we already paid for the packaging item when we return to ship it. Still have to pay the actual shipping charges.
