Okay, I wasn't gonna admit this, but figured DS or the elves would totally post a picture of this if I don't confess preemptively.

I had my package ready to go, and then realized I did not have any rubber bands or anything to bundle my cards with. So I made do with what I had available in the van. Which happened to be an ace bandage from the first aid kit.

Please feel free to post the pic when it arrives, so we can all laugh together.

OMG HF - I HAD THE SAME EMERGENCY!!!!!

I had to use packing tape and, like, fold it over on itself for the parts that were touching the envelopes.

Elfs (Elves?), please forgive me!! I sent you a present that can be used as an apology if necessary!!!

I used an honest-to-goodness rubber band. How... predictable.

I got mine out before Thanksgiving. What fun can't wait to start receiving some. FWH is so sweet he said he'd pay for the stamps if I pay for the postage. He's all pie eyed wishing he could get some cards too. I think he's feeling a little jealous! I've told him time and time again to join SI. Oh well, maybe next year.

Just finished stuffing and sealing....with some help from two little elves and their overactive tongues. Which sounds more than a little creepy, but is 100% the truth.

Ok should be there by Dec 3.

Now my bundles.... the big one is alphabetical there are 3 separate bundles in the one big one. One of them is upside down for ease of rubberbanding. All stamped. The smaller bundle are those out of country or mods/guides.

I included cash for their postage an my extra stamps.

Enjoy the glitter.... it's all over the express pack an ship.... I hope my rubberbands hold they are old an I was snapping breaking shooting them all over the store.... lol

Awww, how cute, Facepunched! Can't wait to get my green envelope.

My cards should arrive Monday. I spent a very long time at the PO this morning. Had to wait in lines to make several trips to the window. This PO seems quite UNfriendly and UNhelpful. And they had a problem putting together the $1.30 postage. I guess I should have bought them somewhere else.

Thanks to my move, I chose to go buy some rubber bands, which was easier than finding something here to do the job. I didn't happen to have any Ace bandages handy. My PO back at my old home would have given me enough of them but not this one!

I apologize to the elves in advance for the writing on the envelopes. I had a power outage and wrote them out by emergency light since there wasn't much else I could do in that light and I needed to get that particular chore done. That's my story (read "excuse") and I'm sticking to it

Definitely getting excited now! Thank you so much for doing this. I have no idea how you figured out all the logistics of this, but I'm thankful that you put so much into it for us.

This is the first year I haven't done this....

I had surgery last week and have been a little under the weather, but know I love you all and think about my SI friends often. Happy to say that some of you are actually real life friends now and have made my life richer for it.

Happy Happy Happy Holidays to you all.
Love, punky

I didn't have any rubber bands either! I used curling ribbon instead, to stay in the Christmas mode. I included a surprise for DS and MH!

I am SO glad I am in this year. Thanksgiving was a nightmare and my baby girl, the only child that actually likes me won't be here for Christmas. The only bright spot on the horizon is a mailbox full of glittery holiday cards. Other than that, I'm afraid this is going to be a rather grinchy Christmas.

I just checked my delivery confirmation...it says "notice left" with an address of Spring, TX. The zip code is the same as The Woodlands, but it doesn't show it was actually picked up yet.

This is the first year I didn't do it last minute (and I even used real rubber bands), so I really really hope my box did not go astray!

I wasn't able to get my cards to the PO until today. I'm glad I did, because it was BUSY up in there. I had the sweetest lady offer to help, though - she lent me packing tape and a Sharpie and offered to help me with some other packages I needed done.

She was so awesome that I wanted to leave her a tip. Do you even tip PO employees? (I was thinking I couldn't, they're Federal employees and they're technically not supposed to accept gifts...)

Anyhow, they're on the way. My priority slip says December 2, so we'll see.

TCD and I took care of the cards tonight. They are all wrapped up and will be mailed out Monday. I'm fairly buzzed, TCD is pretty bombed (she's a lightweight!).

We had a blast taking care of this together. Sorry to those of you at the end of the alphabet... we don't need glitter hanging around the house all year!

FYI: As we were starting she said to me "I did a few the other night. You have to use glue or tape because the envelopes don't seal." After using a glue stick on a few, I turn to her and say "TCD, these envelopes are peel and stick..." She turns to me and laughs and says "Well, that would explain why they wouldn't seal when I licked them!"

I know we're worth it.

DH - Is the dragon-to-be giving you grief? ((((hugs))))

Yes!!! It hasn't been a happy few days...Not sure how I have gained 5lbs when I have been losing everything I eat...

Got my cards done. Sending tomorrow. I hope the money I send is enough. Having the letters weighed to make sure. I went glitter crazy...I actually glitter bombed myself and the table and the livingroom and the dog/cats lol.
