I got a few more cards yesterday. So I was standing over the bowl on the kitchen table when I picked up a particularly crunching sounding one.

BF walks in while I am opening it, paused, watching me, and says "wow, just wow." as about 10 tons of gitter fell into the bowl. It was like a giltter waterfall. It never stopped. His eyes just got bigger and bigger, and then he walked away..lol.

Yeah, well now we look at EVERY piece of mail as a potential source of glitter. We open everything over a bowl.

I trust that's an unintended consequence of this process....

So, I was reading a story about office/dorm prank ideas (don't judge me!) and one mentioned a twist on the old standard "fill the room with balloons" trick, where you add glitter to each balloon. Just a spoonful or so. When the prank victim starts popping the balloons to get rid of them...

Well there is always the powder blown under the door and into the room via a hair dryer. I wonder how well it would work with confetti instead.

Or water balloons with some glitter in them. hmmm

I used my extra glitter ... ALL of my extra glitter to bomb the Docs & girls at work ... That is 9 cards total ... and I loaded them went to Olive Garden with the cards. One of the girls thought she could open the card carefully and not spill any.... Buwhahaha ... I dumped the card in her lap. I also made sure to place the gift cards in the cards in such a way they HAD to remove the card to get the gift card, no avoiding the glitter.

I shared the glitter, all over Olive Garden and my co-workers ..... I made sure to leave extra tip...

I've gotten 55 cards so far, over the last couple of weeks. I'd like to get all of them before opening...can someone please remind me how many I'm supposed to get? I thought it was around the 70s range but not sure, thanks in advance!

It's been HARD NOT to open them!

But I will definitely open them this weekend since Christmas is really only 5 days away!

Thanks for the push, sunsetslost!

I am in the middle of a hot date tonight through tomorrow night so I thought I would open my cards with her:

Thanks for the suggestions of putting the glitter in a clear ornament! We did that yesterday and it is awesome! I also put a small piece of paper with the year in there, too. You know, in case there are more of those puppies in the future.

Jrazz, she figured out within the first few minutes which cards were glitterized. She would pick up a card, feel it and say, "This ones for you Uncle Jp, it doesn't have any glitter."

Thank you everyone for helping me keep a 3.5 year old occupied with your Christmas cheer.

Jpapa - she's just darling! You'd best schedule another date with her for next year, as I'm making a note to glitterize your card so as not to disappoint her.

All the more reason to plan on being an elf next year and then you can take your cards home with you.
