Im learning to listen to my instincts. I had a feeling he wasnt up.

I was correct.

I called wh. I ask why didnt dd's alarm go off

It did. She went straight for the tv and left her dad asleep.

I need to get HIM an alarm. Anyone know of a beer can that yells "WAKE THE F@@K UP!!!". Lol

My 7 yr old.

Our sons are much older, but not out of the house yet. The high school student will lay in bed listening (maybe) to his alarm going off until I come in and tell him to shut it off. (Our bedroom is on a different floor of the house!) The middle school student is still learning to set his alarm at night before he goes to bed. Frustrating to be sure, but in the grand scheme of things, not all that big a deal.

The consequences of telling the truth are that one becomes trustworthy... not all that other shit I worried about.

Growing up my Dad was horrible at getting up in the morning so my Mom got him one of those old fashioned alarm clocks that could wake the dead. It got him up..of course it got the rest of the family up and the neighbors on occasion. But he was never late for work again..

When WH and I first got married he decided he didn't need to wake to an alarm clock since I could just call him and wake him up. Yea, not happening. When he wasn't paying attention to his phone I recorded me running my nails across a chalkboard and uploaded it as his alarm clock. He hates that sound SO MUCH that he quickly learned to wake to his alarm without help.

I think I learned a lesson from my mom, not a nice one though!

What kind of clock? (The old fashioned one).

T/j I dont want the kids to miss school but the devil in me likes knowing his inability or refusal to get up to get the kids off just might be a tool if I need it.

My daughter slept like the dead. Regular alarm clocks wouldn't wake her up. So I got a huge, old fashioned WIND UP clock with the bells and then I put it on a big aluminum cooking pot. When it went off, the pot would magnify the sound. She learned to hate that clock but it DID wake her up.
