Shall I start saving my ziploc bags for you?

Marriages that start this way, stepping over the bodies of loved ones as the giddy couple walks down the aisle, are not likely to last.

Is there some manual out there? The ex is always trying to dictate or implement some idiotic rule! It is a control issue.
I think they can't believe they don't have a say about how we choose to live.

Mine demanded that when we speak on the phone I am only allowed to bring up one subject. If there is more than one topic to be discussed I will have to call him back. Really?

Ugh, rising, that's ridiculous! Did he also answer the phone, pretending to be his own secretary, and then made you hold the line to see if he's available to speak about your one topic?

sparkysable, you have no idea-- my friends and family IRL have come up with all sorts of ideas: taping bags to his car for his "old bag," buying boxes of bags and wrapping them as Christmas presents for him... I should thank him, actually. We've had all sorts of fun with that comment!

Please collect and send back the Ziploc bags sent in the kids' lunches so that we can reuse them if you choose not to use them.

The absurdity of this request in this context is breathtaking.

Yes, ignore. I could come up with all kinds of ingenious ways to wage passive aggressive warfare or respond in such a way as to prevent such absurd requests in the future, but it isn't worth the effort or the emotional investment required.

I believe we are going to have a new name to banter about! Mr. Ziploc bag!!!

This is wonderful! A definition of a very common behavior of the wayward.

He is pulling a ziploc.

What an ass.

Send them back, but with holes cut in them.

i think the simple answer is for you to provide all of us with his mailing address so we can send our used ziploc bags to him. heaven forbid he should run out.....

Wow!!! First if it were me.... there would be no return of Ziploc bags. Ziploc bags were not designed to be reused. They are just like plastic water bottles... they can start leeching chemicals if reused to many times. XH and OWife do not have the sense to comprehend this. Snarky me would reply with some data about how toxic these items can really be when reused. then I would close with something like "Sooooo you and Owife are more concerned with the environment than the children's health nice to know asshole."

Second: If the children are minors then the counselor can discuss with you what has came up in sessions. The only time the counselor WILL NOT discuss the sessions with you is if the children have asked him/her NOT to.

By giving him crickets you are in effect calling his bluff. Stay on course with seeing the counselor and questioning what was discussed.
