Nobody wants to support a cheating pig..

I have not filed for D yet but part of my plan was to file after WH had gotten a job and was working at it for a little while...

I have been egging and bugging my WH to get work somewhere, his unemployment recently ran out...He owes me a certain amount every month to reimburse me for paying his medical premium(deducted from my check monthly) and to help pay the bills..When he is reimbursing me for part of the bill, at least I have a little more self respect while waiting for him to get work..

WH went looking for work yesterday, because I nagged him to get the heck out of the house and go look...Well he apparently found and processed into one job to the point of needing the company physical...He got the physical done today...He came back home claiming that he flunked the physical...

I suspect that he purposefully flunked the physical (the exertion/endurance/flexibility portion) and wants to look like he tried to get work just to get me off his back..I think that this job may be a fictional one (things did happen awfully fast ), lol..

WH's attempt to get me off his back and feel sorry for him won't work...I am not stupid like he thinks...I will keep bugging him, lol..

I may have to consult with a lawyer again and see if I can legally drop my WH from my medical insurance plan to have the extra $500 coming in every month..I can drop him during reenrollment month (Jan) with no questions asked or qualifying event happening...

I suspect that dropping WH may not be a smart move at this time though..I pay the premiums at a deep discount through employer sponsored plan and I am a retiree from that company...

With that being said, I told WH he can work at Mc Donalds, Walmart, clean apartments or office buildings, pressure wash houses, mow lawns whatever in combination to get him out of the house and make enough money to hold up his end of the monthly living budget...WH walks faster, stands taller than I do and he does not have weakness/pain/ numbness to one leg like I do, he is just fat

Please talk to your lawyer about all of the ramifications of dropping your WH from your medical plan. If he should get hit by a truck and manage to not die (not that I'm exactly rooting for that), and rack up some impressive medical bills, you might end up being jointly responsible for it, have a lean put up against your house, etc. So please be very careful about this. (((hugs)))

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.

I would think you can drop him, but check with an attorney. He is responsible for his own health insurance, and if he chooses not to work he can still sign up for the Affordable HealthCare Exchanges.

You shouldn't be footing the bill for him, but I get not wanting to file before he gets work. I was told by an attorney that I may be expected to pay not only CS, but SS when H was out of work. Even though up until a week before he was earning almost double what I was.

Wow, definitely sounds like he needs to wake up! He is definitely taking advantage of you!

I'm retired too, and our re-enrollment or status change (for paperwork being filled out and turned in) occurs before the deadline of Dec. 7, 2013, with implementation as of January 2014. Please be double darned sure that your re-enrollment period is January!

Definitely consult with an attorney. If possible, could you get a legal separation in place *quickly* so you can stop paying premiums for his lazy ass, and yet legally, that formal and legal separation would protect you if he was in an accident or something and racked up a lot of bills?

In our state there is no such thing as legal separation, one has to file for the D..
I am trying to wait until WH goes back to work before I file for D..My only problem is that once I file for D, unless I go back to work full time, I am gonna have to go live with somebody who likes my two doggies and take odd jobs....
Actually I should probably look into finding somebody with a huge house(multiple wings) who needs a renter if I can work for him/her for a much lower rent

My re enrollment forms for major medical are supposed to come to me in Dec..Deadline to submit/reenroll is in Jan with any changes implemented in March..
