I think anything by Pema Chodron is really useful to help people deal with out of control emotions. Mindfulness as a topic in general can be helpful, although it is a challenge.
Sometimes I think we, myself very included, spend too much time with the Affair books. Or rather, maybe we just have to graduate from the Affair books and into books that nourish US and help us grow as people, regardless of Affair. Books that put focus back on us.
That's been true for me anyway! If I stay enmeshed in Affair literature, and I absolutely think I needed to be there for a while, but i realize that now I really need to Move On or I will suffocate.
