learned a valuable lesson today about my WW .We got into a argument today and my WW told me she was sorry . I asked her what are you sorry for ? She began to justify her wrong doings and she would never admit she was wrong . I told her I need you to tell me you were wrong regardless of your justification . I Told her a thief is a thief regardless of the reasons. Well she still has not told she was wrong . I do believe this is the mind set she gets when she decided to have the A. Its way to easy to throw out that blanket statement I'm sorry when you truly don't believe it

I think that is the perfect example of regret vs remorse. That is being discussed in another thread. She may be regretful she was caught. But if she cannot admit what she did wrong, then she is not remorseful.

To me simply admitting the A was wrong doesn't even rise to the level of the bare minimum to begin R. If she can't even do that then I'd have a hard time seeing you as being in R.

Hmm, my WH has pretty much the same attitude, he's sorry, but he's not really all that remorseful. He's acting all depressed and morose, which my 16yo said was manipulative. She thinks he's trying to make me feel bad for him. As if! Brandon808 said it To me simply admitting the A was wrong doesn't even rise to the level of the bare minimum to begin R.
