I'm glad my sacrilegious answer got some laughs.

I actually love the Ukrainian Bell Carol in all its incarnations.

Bing and David's duet is at the top of the list. I thought that was the coolest thing when I was a kid, so I taped it.......on VHS. Remember VHS?

I agree!
I play it on this laptop...YouTube.

...and I still tape my TV shows on VHS!
Not too many station varieties on my digital cable offer On Demand.

@HFFSC:

And if ANYBODY mentions that Christmas Shoes song, I will send Grumpy Cat to pee in every pair of shoes they own.

I managed to find the pic.....but I got it here first, so I gave Grumpy Cat his Temptations treat....threat averted!!!

I love The Christmas Shoes!!!

Ok,

Last Christmas by Wham! is my FAVORITE Christmas song. But ONLY by Wham! I HATE the versions done by Glee, Ashley Tisdale, Ariana Grande, etc. HATE THEM!

I also love The 12 Days of Christmas by Straight No Chaser (the Africa by Toto in the middle slays me!).

I also like Stevie Nicks version of Silent Night.

Josh Groban's O Holy Night, as well as Clay Aiken's. Though I'n not a Clay fan for anything else. Oh, except his Mary Did You Know.

There's one I have heard this season, called "All Through The Night" and I've never heard it before. I don't know who the woman is that sings it though.

And finally on my faves list is Auld Lang Syne by Dan Fogelberg.

I HATE Santa Baby. All versions. The newest Braxton Sisters version especially creeps me out. That song sounds to me like Santa is a sugar daddy and the singer is high priced call girl. Well in the Braxton version, she sounds like she's...."almost there" if you know what I mean. HATE!!!

eta: Another fave- Christmas Canon Rock by TSO. If I ever had a Christmas wedding, this is the song I'd walk down the isle to.

We Three Kings

Good choice!

Bing and David's duet is at the top of the list.
Bob Seger's Little Drummer Boy, Elvis's Blue Christmas and Darlene Love singing Baby Please Come Home, all for nostalgic reasons. It's not Christmas without them. Also, Charlie Brown (Vince Guaraldi Trio) music.
O holy night -- The Barra MacNeils.

Love Elvis' Blue Christmas and the Vince Guaraldi Trio! I have to check out The Barra MacNeils. Bonus points!

I actually love the Ukrainian Bell Carol in all its incarnations

It is a very nice song. I remember playing it in concert band nearly every year. It was one of my favorites to play.

I also love The 12 Days of Christmas by Straight No Chaser (the Africa by Toto in the middle slays me!).

I think that's my favorite part!

There's one I have heard this season, called "All Through The Night" and I've never heard it before. I don't know who the woman is that sings it though.

And finally on my faves list is Auld Lang Syne by Dan Fogelberg.

I've heard "All Through the NIght" as well- idk who sings it either though. I used to HATE the Dan Fogelberg song, but it is now one I really enjoy.

NSync (it's good-shut up!)
Hey, I ain't knocking. You're talkin' to someone who adored the boy band era.

I have more Christmas music in my house than should be legally allowed. It would probably be easier for me to just list the songs I *don't* like.

Top fav songs:
O Holy Night - by just about anyone but I love the harmony by Point of Grace
I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day - current fav version by Johnny Reid

And I dunno why, but every single time I hear "Please Come Home for Christmas" by Aaron Neville, I accompany him. Doesn't matter where I'm at when it comes on, I have to sing along. Yes, I understand that Bon Jovi is supah hot and all that jazz, but there's just something about AN's version I love.

Un-favorite Christmas songs:
The entire collection of holiday songs by Dolly Parton. Please don't kill me, but I had a reeeally bad experience about 14-15 years ago and I still have nightmares and twitches.

And the friggin' Christmas Shoes song. Dear Lord have mercy. That song makes me insane.

^ I just heard that Christmas Shoes song, and I emailed my co worker who LOVES it, some very unkind things about hoping the kid's mother died before he got the stupid shoes to her.

*gasp!* Oh no you didn't!!!!

Don't get me wrong, the message in the song is all warm and fuzzy and whatever. But when the thing first came out, all other Christmas music ceased to exist for like TWO WHOLE YEARS. Christmas Shoes was alllllllll we heard. I'm sorry, but after hearing it about 8 billion freaking times, I'm starting to get really depressed.

I've always liked "I Believe in Father Christmas" by Greg Lake. Also, off the A Very Special Christmas Album: Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) - U2, Little Drummer Boy - Seeger, Silent Night - Stevie Nicks.

Our 15 YO DS had some friends over last weekend to play games all day (surprisingly, no video games) and he played Christmas music all day on his laptop. It was charming to say the least!

Aubrie, I did.
It's a good thing this co worker and I are really good friends. She said the same thing "Oh no you didn't!!"

I can't stand the song, never could. I get the message--be patient, be kind, commercialism and materialism are not the reason for the season...you never know what other people are going through...I do get it. I just hate how smarmy and cheesy it comes off.

Every time I read someone's post I think 'oh yeah, that's m favorite one!' I honestly can't choose. But, my mother's favorite is 'O Holy Night' and I've got a soft spot for a capella in general. So, here's the link to the Pentatonix rendition of 'O Holy Night'

O' Come All Ye Faithful is one of my favorites...

Also:

White Christmas
Deck the Halls
and
Jingle Bells

I can play quite a few of them still from my years in symphonic band.

The very first song I learned to play on my little electric organ was: Silent Night...

One of my favorite Christmas songs is Silent Night sung in German. There is something bout it that I really like.

Also Mary did you know - the first time I heard it was by one of the high school girls at my church many years ago. She sang it so well it brought a tear to my eye.

Straight with no chaser is great. How they are able to do the 12 days the way they do is amazing.

And basically everything by TransSiberian Orchestra and Mannheim Steamroller.

My favourite song is "Silver Bells"
Loved it as a kid and love it now.

There is a version I have on my iPod that Clay Aiken and another American Idol contestant (can't remember her name Kimberly Locke!!!)
It was the only version I could find at the time.

I also love Bing Crosby and David Bowie's Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth.

Another fave is BandAid "Do they Know it's Christmas". Hearing this one on the radio a lot lately.
