So, XH works in movies. Been having a rough, triggery week. Just got home from work, flip on tube. Movie that's on (last channel that was on before I left) is the one where XH started A w/slunty OW. What a kick in the fucking ovaries.
I watched 5 minutes of it, thinking, great job XH building that set. Followed by: OW did a decent job dressing it. Shoot me in the frigging face. I hate my fucking life right now.
Me: MH 40s; Him: MH 40s (I had RA)
OW: 30s, moron; one of many
M: 8 yrs
3/13: D'd; free of the overgrown baby
Everything is as it should be.

Well. That's the first time an accountants wife ever thought she was lucky to have married an accountant.
Geez. I thought realising how prevalent and pedestrian affairs are in movies I used to love but now can't watch was hard.
That is so shit.
Its the iPod that tried to kill me. I couldn't listen to the radio either. I had my iPod set to random and I swear 5 songs in a row started playing that were massive triggers (one was his hobby band's album, another was the bloody wedding song!). Each time I punched the next button I cursed - by the 5th song I was crying and cackling hysterically whilst cursing the universe. This has happened with the radio more times than I can count.
In that laughter I saw the funny side of where I was at. I knew at that moment that I'd be OK. And I am. You will be too.

Oh that is awful!! I have been cursed by music lately. I don't know if its the holidays or what, but every damn song makes me cry it seems!!
I am sorry you were triggered. That feeling is horrible.

I just hate stuff like that. At first I had to avoid pretty much all music and movies. SBB is so right- affairs are casually thrown about in so many movies and tv shows! It's just sad.
Sorry you got that slap in the face today. I know how much it hurts.
